It is about time that "Guajiro" Mirabal's music got its own stage. He has been a mainstay of the Cuban music scene for a long long time. His trumpet is clearly heard ln collaborations with many of the other mainstays of that wonderful music, but this is his first "solo" cd. Do not worry, the selections still include the talents of many of the same voices and sounds I have learned to love from their music. I sincerely hope this is not the only cd we get from Mirabal. His music is too good and too memorable. I could ask, "why did we have to wait so long?" I love old music, this is great, anything from CUBA is the best. Every single track is just awesome. I cannot get enough. Especially El Reloj de Pastora, Deuda, Mi Corazon No Tiene Quien Lo Llore, Pa Moron, all of them are just great.
