Free Music Review: The perfect Latin Balladeer...

I'll admit it: if you compare Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias and Marc Anthony for the looks, then the guy has no winning chances...but if you talk about talent and passion, it's whole different game.It was my ex boyfriend Sakis that introduced me to Marc's music.
I enjoyed it rightaway.
WHEN I DREAM AT NIGHT and YOU SANG TO ME remember me of some great times i spent in greece, real nice ballads.
As most of the rest of the material contained on this album.
AM I THE ONLY ONE and LOVE IS ALL are poignant to say the least.
But Marc comes from Puerto Rico, where salsa music is still well and alive.. there he goes and you get I NEED TO KNOW...simply irresistable tune when you're on the floor.
Sony alligned such producers as Walter Afanasieff, Ric Wake, Dan Shea and Cory Rooney (big in the business after his successful partnership with J.Lo) and Rodney "Darkchild" Jenkins for his english debut.
Jenkins is actually the only one who fails in here, trying to mix salsa rhythms with hard electronic stuff...ultimate mess!
I'll say it from the heart...when you are in love there is nothing like a ballad to cement a bond between you and the one you love...
Marc will surely provide a wide choice in that matter...

I hate this whole latin music explosion.... Marc Anthony's music is faceless... I know it may not be the best way to judge an artist, but I tend to listen to the artist's voice first, before anything... and I HATE marc anthony's voice.... every song I've heard by him I hate... So far the only Latin artist I like is Carlos Santana.... Santana is a legend... Marc is not.... Try again, Marc.... ... And Enrique Iglesias is not even a singer you should want to imitate. If you started playing your OWN INSTRUMENTS and writing GOOD BALLADS like "Let It Be" or "Hey Jude" maybe I'd find your music halfway interesting.. (But alas the Beatles would be disgraced....) ...Free Music Review: If you want to cry - play this!!!

Great cd for all the poeple who have just finished a relationship.Lots of sad ballads and every now and then a little Latin rhythm.

This is a very good cd, but it seems a little too mellow for me. I really like to listen to it when going to sleep because it easily puts me to sleep. Marc Anthony has a wonderful voice and I would easily recommend this cd to just about everyone.Free Music Review: 1 OF THE BEST SINGERS

Marc Anthony popped up in 1999 after a year that was filled with not only several other Latin artists emerging but also a year where many of the songs had hints of Latin beats and sounds in them. This was definitely the ideal year for Marc to come out as an English Latin singer. Listening to the CD for the first time, I was greatly impressed by Marc's range and even soul to his voice. He is not only one of the best Latin singers but one of the best singers of all time. If anyone likes how well Patti LaBelle, Mariah Carey or Michael Bolton tears a song up, then get a listen to this singer. Some of the standouts on this disc are WHEN I DREAM AT NIGHT, I NEED TO KNOW, YOU SANG TO ME, MY BABY YOU, NO ONE, LOVE IS ALL and THAT'S OK. Though there are few uptempos, there really is no problem b/c Marc truly knows how to work the ballads. Buy the CD jus so u can be hooked to this incredible singer.
