Free Music Review: WYSIWIG - What if Jim Gaffigan shaved?
Hit: 3 Stars

Is Maria Bamford the healthy alternative, clean-shaven Gaffigan? She's definitely whiter than he is. I didn't know what I was getting into with this. There were some tracks I really thought were hilarious, particularly the ones on cheesy love songs, and the final two tracks. I thought her African-American phone friend sounded 120% like Anjelah Johnsen's Bon Qui Qui though, and I know Bon Qui Qui is from back in the day. Sometimes these things happen by coincidence, but that doesn't make it any less wierd. I get the impression that not even she knows what her real voice is, b/c when she talks like a little girl you think it's either her real character or some narrator, but it's just a little too synthetic. Bamford is definitely unique, she's a very smart person with a very different $$$ background from mine growing up. I give this disc a thumbs up -- overrated, yet satisfying.

Free Music Review: This is supposed to be funny?
Hit: 1 Stars

Honestly, I didn't chuckle even once at all these skits and I listened to this record twice to see if it was my problem or maybe I wasn't focusing. So all these 5 star reviews are unbiased?

If you want super funny, listen to Jim Gaffigan, Daniel Tosh and earlier Dane Cooke. This woman, albeit a nice person, is not funny.
