Wow! Only one word describes this album! E=MC2 Is a great follow up to the The Emancipation of MiMi, and you can most definately tell that Mariah is going in a good direction. To have Two acclaimed (from my point of view) albums put out back to back, it's just like her carreer started all over again. This album in a sense would be like her sophmore effort, but at the same time we know that Mariah has been around for 18 years and her albums never fail to impress.
I am going to do a track by track review of E=MC2
1.) Migrate-This song is like Shake It Off on steroids. I think it is a great song, a club banger, and a definately number one single in Mariah's Book. This song has became extremely popular amongg fans, I beleive after Def Jam sees the Digital Downloads blow up for this song, they will release it as the third single. 10/10
2.) Touch My Body-Everyone knows this number one success!!! Mariah goes to show you that she doesn't need to have huge range on song for it to do good. This song is very relaxing, fun, and catchy. I love it to death. Even though it's not an overly strong song, it is one that we can all just have fun too, and that is what counts sometimes. 10/10
3.) Cruise Control-This song has some reggae influences built into it, and it features Damien Marley, the son of the Ever so great Bob Marley. This song also doesn't have alot of range, like touch my body. Nevertheless the song did take awhile for me to get used to. The song itself is pretty catchy, but it isn't one of the best songs on the album. I do give Mariah major props for speaking in a Jamaican accent though. I think she did a pretty good job. Just a pretty average song in my book. 7/10
4.) I stay In Love-YES! YES! YES! No one can say that they do not love this song. It is such a sweet love song! If you are looking for a follow up of We Belong Together, then this is the song for you! The song has a great Melody, and a wonderful piano in the background, and Mariah's Range is excellent! A flawless song indeed. 10/10
5.) Side Effects- Side Effects is the most hip-hop influenced song on the album. The song has an extremely heavy beat to follow along with the lyrics. And the song features Young Jeezy. I am not a fan of Jeezy at all, actually I think he is a terrible Rapper. Nevertheless the song is a banger! I didn't like it at first, because I had to get used to Jeezy's rap, but the song is excellent and extremely catchy! I think this will be a favorite among many. 9/10
6.) I'm That Chick-Wow what a classy Mariah Song this is. It sounds like a song from Mariah's earlier days, yet it still has those modernized lyrics. The song sounds alot like Neyo's song "Because Of You" but I think it is better. The song is very fun and bouncy like. A great song! 10/10
7.) Love Story-Love story is an excellent Ballad! She refrences the extrmely popular song by Hurricane Chris "A Bay Bay" in the song. The song itself shows huge range by mariah, from Low notes to High Notes. She just sounds amazing in this song. It is definately one of my favorites. 10/10
8.) I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time-This song is what the song Your Girl is to The emancipation of MiMi. It's just a short song to, I guess, put some fun out to her fans. Personally I am not feeling this song that much. It is pretty catchy, but it is just kind of annoying to me. I really hope it grows on me, because it's a shame that this is the only song I don't like that much. 5/10
9.) Last Kiss- Another huge Jermaine Dupri Hit right here! JD and Mariah have it down packed to the "T". All of there songs that they make are just freaking amazing! And this one is not an exception. Just an amazing song that Mariah shows amazing vocals on. I think this will definately be a favorite among fans as well. 10/10
10.) Thanx 4 Nothin-Love it! This song is a very short and simple song. I like the lyrics alot, and Mariah sounds excellent! She has great range on this song as well, it is extremely catchy and she just did an overall excellent job. 10/10
11.) O.O.C-Alot of people don't like this song, but I think it is awesome! This song is fun!! It's so catchy and fresh, I like it alot! The lyrics can be a bit corney to some, but you canot deny this songs catchiness. It just makes you want to get up and dance! 10/10
12.) For The Record-WOW! WOW! WOW! By far the best song on the album. This song most definately needs to be a single. I have not felt like this about a Mariah song in a long time. The song gives me chills! I listen to it over and over, and I could never get tired of it. The song is perfect, and she actually hits an 18 second whistle in this song! My Jaw dropped to the floor when she did that. Bravo Bravo!!!! 10/10
13.) Bye Bye-The second single from the album, and I beleive it was a pretty good choice. I think Bye Bye being a single is excellent, but being the second single was a bit too fast in my opinion. I think it should have been the fourth single Maybe, because a song about Death as a second single is a bit too fast In my opinion, but at the same time the song is amazing. I like it alot, and it is very heartfelt, you can tell that she really does miss her father in the song! 10/10
14.) I wish you well-Another Gospel inspired song by Mariah and I must say that it is amazing! Mariah always amazes me with the closing song of her albums! This song is so simple and amazing, all she needs is a piano and a few Bible versus and she has it made! 10/10

Mariah has been in the Industry for 18 years and she has most definately made her mark. For her to do this in this period of time, is an excellent feat. I think Mariah isn't going anywhere anytime soon! She is most definately staying around for awhile, and I think she will do well for the rest of her carreer if she keeps doing the great job she is already doing! Go out and please buy this album!!!
