Free Music Notes for E=MC2Free Music Review: In the words of Mariah I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN Hit: 5 Stars
Yes, that is what she does on this cd. She is taking music by the horns YET AGAIN. My first listen to the album left be a bit wanting more primarily because I was looking for the ballads that she did on TEOM. It wasn't until track 7 that I started getting into the cd. Mind you, I was listening in my car with the windows down driving 70 mph so all I could really hear was bass. Upon listening to it on my home stereo all I can say is WHOA. The ballads have more of a street edge to it which is definately different in my book for MC and I love it. This is as excellent as her last album and I for one would like to congratulate Miss MC on this piece of work. The only thing I didn't like was the collab with Young Jeezy because I'm not a particular fan of his style of flow. This cd is def a banger in the true sense of the word. TEOM was a beast, but this one is in some ways similar, but yet very different, and as a whole is a different animal and its about to do some damage on the real. I especially love how MC takes it back to the 90's Mariah on the last track of the disc. Showing everyone that she can make any type of music she wants to and still be relevant. Vocally she is fit without proving to anyone that she still has it. You gotta love it. Go and cop this.
Free Music Review: Really Great Mariah Excellent Release Hit: 5 Stars
Mariah Carey is back with her latest release "E=MC (2)" The album follows up her hugely successful album "The Adventures of Mimi." "E=MC (2)" features 14 brand new tracks. The album opens up with the funky song "Migrate" featuring T-Pain. This could easily be a single. The song is very radio friendly. "Migrate" is followed up by the album's first single the #1 song "Touch My Body." "Touch My Body" is a bouncy song that has become a favorite among Mariah fans. One of the funkiest songs on the album is the song "Cruise Control" featuring Damian Marley. "I Stay In Love," and "Love Story" are classic Mariah love songs. The song "Bye Bye," is a song that will strike a chord with people who have lost the special someone that they love. It's a memorable Mariah Carey love song. Mariah fans will cling to this song. Although Mariah is very well known for her love songs and ballads, she is also remembered for her funky hip-hop inspired songs. "Side Effects" featuring Young Jeezy is a hip-hop flavored that Mariah's young audience will appreciate. "O.O.C." is a roller skating friendly up-tempo song. Mariah fans will be pleased with "E-MC (2)." It's a great follow up to the "Adventures of Mimi."
Free Music Review: I have discovered this gem album 7 months after its release ! Hit: 5 Stars
I became officially a Mariah detractor in the last years( with the exception of the great We belong Together ...a masterpiece ). I bought E=MC2 in April because I was buying other Cds and felt bad about not buying it along with the others. I didn't like Touch my Body. For me it is a stupid song and a stupid video. Therefore, the CD was left untouched among several others. However, the first time that I listened I Stay in Love, For the record and I wish you well, I felt that the CD was " Not that bad after all" . Since them, I have discovered Bye Bye and Side Effects. These are the 5 songs that gave me back the faith in Mariah. The one I like the most of them is "I Stay in Love " a beautiful song with a nice beat, catchy lyrics and a heartbreaking finale, that only Mariah can sing. This song is really hard to sing. I have seen many people singing it in You Tube and most of them avoid the challange of singing the high final notes. For me, I Stay in Love is a sleeper hit in the oven that will heat us during the cold 2008-2009 winter season. At least it deserves to be a monster hit if only US radio stations and fans embrace it.
Free Music Review: Holy smoke!! Hit: 5 Stars
This album is off the flibbity charts awesome. How? Let me tell you. First the title. When I think of physics and formulas, I think of Mariah Carey. The fact her name has a lot of the same letters as Marie Curie is no coincidence. Mariah is really smart. The songs are cool and talk about love and her body. Those are two things I could put together. I think Mariahs breasts have grown over the years. I just thought I would add that. It doesn't make her music different, but her videos are really cool. The one thing this thing is missing is her really high cackling sounds she used to make more often. She still does it some, but it's not like when she sang "emotion" back in the day. Back then, I fronted a Cameo cover band called Slaugefunger. That's german for freakin awesome. We played Word Up and Oh Sheila all of the time. Burns would play a keyboard solo and then sit on a sit and spin for like an hour. When he finally hurled, we collected bids on it and gave the money to North Omaha. We were great and I still am. Burns is awfully cool too.
Get this CD and you'll want the special at Chachi's steak and pudding.
Free Music Review: E=MC˛ = Awesome music Hit: 5 Stars
E=MC˛, without any need to list its similarities or differences with its highly successful predecessor, is simply put an outstanding album from Mariah Carey.
The relativity formula attributed to Einstein seems to have found the perfect match in this album. Througout this set, Mariah applies her beautiful voice and song-writing skills to endlessly addictive tunes that keep you humming to yourself even after a first listen.
Special favorites include "I Stay In Love", "O.O.C.", "Bye Bye", "I'm that Chick", and "For the record." But without any hint of a bias, I can confess that each and every song is excellent and remarkably melodic in its own right.
This is the good stuff that music listeners should be treated to. It is just beautiful music all around and if the label plays the timing right, I fully expect quite a few hit singles.
Mariah seems to go from strength to strength with each album. And her fans - loyal followers, new converts, and those who just happened to discover this singing phenom - can only experience pure musical bliss.
