Free Music Notes for E=MC2Free Music Review: A great album to play all the way through Hit: 5 Stars
I bought this album because I liked "Touch My Body" and "Bye Bye", and after listening to it those tracks are not even in my top 3 from the album (I absolutely adore "For The Record" and I think my next 2 would be "Side Effects" - in part for the lyrics - and "I Stay In Love"). Mariah puts so much emotion and inflection in her voice I think I could listen to her sing anything, but this album is a great display of the voice and lyrics I love. I liked Mariah when she was pop but I have enjoyed her transition to R&B (with the exception of the Glitter years... she was still working out some kinks). I think she has gone a bit to the commercial extreme at times but I also think that she's found her niche in soulful R&B that has her distinct flare. In this same genre I also love Keyshia Cole's first two albums. Although E=MC2 does not have any singles as strong as her two knock-outs from Mimi ("We Belong Together" and "Don't Forget About Us") I dare say I may still enjoy this album a wee bit better as a whole.
Free Music Review: Mariah Carey to the 2nd Power. Hit: 5 Stars
Mariah witnessed triumph in 2003 with the release of her highly acclaimed album, The Emancipation Of MiMi. From the popular, melodic, 'We Belong Together' to the upbeat, 'It's Like That'. I was hesitant to listen to this album because there was no possible way she could ever top 'The Emancipation of MiMi.' I'm not saying that there are some, 'We Belong Together's' on there, but the album is so versatile and fresh. From the reggae, 'Cruise Control' featuring Damian Marley, to 'I Stay In Love', a lovely ballad that I often put on repeat on my MP3 player. Although, she does not show off her five octave range or flaunt extremely high notes, you will bob your head and find yourself relating to the love ballads, 'Last Kiss' and 'Love Story'. The lyrics are impeccable and I'm sure as women, we can ALL relate to the problems and triumphs Mariah discusses on the album. No, she's not singing about a 'Hero', but she has definitely saved us from the lackluster and superficial music we are subject to nowadays.
Free Music Review: ALL HAIL THE QUEEN!!! Hit: 5 Stars
LEAVE MARIAH ALONE! STOP THE HATE! MARIAH is the epitome of the diva. She has beauty, brains and a crap-load of talent.E=MC2 is off the radar. It is the best cd Mariah will ever do.Not a stinker in the bunch. MIGRATE is a club shaker thanks to T-PAIN. T-PAIN is a guarantee for a hit these days.Who wouldn't want to "Touch that body". Nick Cannon, you lucky dog!Congradulations on your recent nuptials and mucho happiness! I love the attention to the dance floor the last 2 cds have taken.Hottest dance tracks on the planet. Now to the subject of Madonna. While she does have talent, she will never have the vocal range of the ultimate songstress,Mariah Carey Cannon. While Madonna's body may be tight, her face is definitely not "holding back the years".Lose the chalk colored makeup. Mariah has found the fountain of youth. She looks fantastic.Continue to be your giving, wonderful self. This cd will spawn numerous #1 hits.Buy this fantastic cd today!
Free Music Review: Emancipation equals Mariah Carey 2 -- Awesome!! Hit: 5 Stars
E=MC2, is GREAT!!! I'm not sold on it's better than TEOM, but E=MC2 can hold its own. With all the crap that's out there now, each song on this album could be released as a single with each one landing, at least, in the Top 20. My only complaint is in a couple of spots (i.e. O.O.C.) the production sounded Janet Jackson-ish, the vocals sounded altered. With Janet, we understand why. But with Mimi, come on, this girl can REALLY blow!!! No alteration needed, just dial back the instruments, drum kits, synthesizers and let Mimi do her thing!!! The two songs that caught my attention right away were, I'm That Chick and I Wish You Well....I'm quite sure my favorites songs will continue to change as I continue to listen.... Now if you really want to hear something special, try to get your hands on R. Kelly's remix of Touch My Body.... Talkin' bout steamy? Heck, it's steamy and sticky!! Madonna, it's your serve...
Free Music Review: Love this.... Hit: 5 Stars
I love E=MC2!! This cd is refreshing and I like all of the songs, which is unusual for any cd! Right now there is no rotation in my car, it's just me and MiMi! I even dropped Janet for MiMi.lol...
When I drive I usually begin listening to something else but then nothing seems quite right for the highway aside of MiMi right now...
I've never been a real big MiMi fan for some reason but I have always respected her as an amazing singer with incredible range. I have to say she was on point with this cd!!
It's funny that for her age the songs on the cd are songs you would expect from a younger talent, but aside of Beyonce there aren't any real singers that can hit those notes like MiMi... most of the "singers" now are all beauty and no real talent.....
MiMi thanks for reminding everyone that you are on the radar with both talent and beauty!!
