Free Music Notes for Marie AntoinetteFree Music Review: Different Hit: 4 Stars
I loved the movie and liked the music but the soundtrack does not stand alone very well. Disc 1 is definitely my favorite since all of the random modern pieces are pretty much on it...which makes it hard to listen to the collection all at once. The punky songs are fun, but nothing that I generally want to sit around and listen to. I thought that they could have picked better classical songs for the film in the first place becuase they are nothing outstanding. However, I like the soundtrack and it is a nice addition to any cd collection. Two disc sets make me happy and the price is good. It certainly stands out as a unique movie soundtrack.
Free Music Review: A Great Collection of Music Hit: 4 Stars
I heart Sophia Coppola and her films. But I have always loved the soundtracks better than the movies. Maybe if she would apply the same attention to the film as she does the music, she would have a complete package.
These songs are a great blend of mellow, classical songs, as well as energized rock outs. If you are having a bad day, these cds will change your mood. The collection is strong and lively. And 2 cds for this price is a great deal.
The Strokes have my favorite song on the cd. I highly recommend for adventurous and eclectic tastes!
Free Music Review: <3 Hit: 4 Stars
I loved this movie, particularly the part where she is cheating on her husband! At that part, a song by Adam & the Ants plays called Kings of the Wild Frontier. The CD comes with two discs. The first of the two is upbeat with lots of drums and the second cd is very classical from the period of Marie Antointette. I love the first disc, which has "I Want Candy" on it, but could do without the second disc.
Free Music Review: Take me back to high school Hit: 4 Stars
I liked to dip into my past by hearing some of these tunes which brought me back to high school years. I particularly liked the mix with the classical tunes which were probably show stoppers in their own time.
Free Music Review: Awesome Hit: 4 Stars
I absolutely love the soundtrack. The way the CDs were broken up was magnificent and created two distinct and enjoyable CDs that I think sound better separate than they would jumbled together.
