Free Music Notes for Eat Me Drink MeFree Music Review: Manson discovered where his heart was, than stabbed it Hit: 5 Stars
depending on how you look at it, this may or not be your typical manson album. his furious anger and antagonizing lyrics are gone, which some of the dretactors were looking from him (though anyone who visited his website could of noticed this wasnt gonna be another Antichrist Superstar). what is the same though is that the album as a whole has an consistent inspiration and direction. if it wasnt for the fact that he had a comeback girl (who is about half his age), i would think by the album that Manson wouldnt even try romance ever again.
if you want blind hatred and hist traditional "F the establishment" antics, look elsewhere. if you want his articulate, dark, brilliance that even Michael Moore acknowledges, cant get much better.
Free Music Review: A Great Manson CD Hit: 5 Stars
This is one of the best Manson CD's that I have listened to and I have them all. Some of the best songs on the cd are Putting Holes In Happiness, The Red Carpet Grave, They Said That Hell's Not Hot, Evidence, and Mutilation Is The Sincere Form Of Flattery. The guitar riffs are catchy and a lot of songs have guitar solos now. The lyrics are great - you can really tell that Manson is trying to express himself and trying to get his anger out. If you are trying to compare this CD to the previous ones like Antichrist Superstar then you will find it different but it does not mean its bad. This is an awesome CD and I highly recommend it to everyone who is into rock/metal music ... not just Manson fans.
Free Music Review: Growing as an artist yet still the M.Manson his fans love.... Hit: 5 Stars
The new album Eat Me, Drink Me is more of a striped down Marilyn Manson then his fans listened to in the past. Songs like Heart-Shaped Glasses, Just a Car Crash Away to name a few are more raw then Manson showed his fans with past albums. In the long run will Manson fans like this album? Well I am a huge fan of his and this album is a work of art. It has meaning and substance and the songs sound more true then every before. So if you are a M.Manson fan don't think twice go get this album it is something that will eat at your heart and help you see the world of love in a new light that only Marilyn Manson could create. 5 stars!!!
Free Music Review: Positive Evolution Hit: 5 Stars
This album is not at all disappointing. If you are thinking Antichrist Superstar, than you've devolved. Just like his image, his music has also progressed with the times. The songs are a bit slower, but think more on the lines of Mechanical Animals with alot of "realism." This is a very intimate album for Manson. He's stripped down to his core and spills his own personal turmoil on the record. If you want to see a softer side of Manson, with alot of pain-thrashing, than this is the album for you. Nothing wrong with Antichrist(one of the best albums of his career)but this album shows us Marilyn behind the image.
Free Music Review: Marilyn at his best! Hit: 5 Stars
This new cd by the uber harcore Manson is different, but in line with his best efforts to date. Heart-Shaped glasses is my favorite, but If I was Your Vampire is amazing and You and Me and the Devil Makes 3 is also another favorite of mine from the cd. If you want to get this cd I suggest you do so, don't even think twice about it if you're a MM fan already. It's not quite as hardcore (I don't think anyway) compared to some of his other cd's but it's still pretty hardcore. He tones down the cursing in this one as well. So all in all it is a great buy as far as music goes and a must-buy if you're a Manson fan!
