Free Music Review: Coaster, Straight-Edge, Pillow, Frisbee...
Hit: 1 Stars

...these are just some of the ways you can put your Maroon 5 CD to better use. Seriously, did anyone actually listen to this album? It's all the crappy music of the 70s and 80s revisited. It's disco rehashed and reconfigured with a corny, electronically watered-down sound to accompany it. This music is AWFUL! This album would be better suited as a breakfest table. It lacks the soul and the drive and the modicum of originality of their first release. This is merely an offering of boring lyrics, hackneyed sing-songiness, and all the same chords and melodies of by-gone eras...and not even GOOD ERAS! Why the hell would a band with so much talent and potential choose to follow up a soulful debut with disco/sounds of 80's pop trash? What is wrong with this world?

Free Music Review: Good Follow Up

Different than the first release, lacking some of the power pop that made their name, but still interesting.

Free Music Review: Well worth it! A great sophmore album!
Hit: 5 Stars

First of all, I loved the 1st album "Songs About Jane" and seriously doubted whether or not this 2nd album would measure up. Suprisingly enough and with a little coaxing from seeing/hearing a few of their new songs on SNL one weekend, I was smitten! Great cd that delivers true Maroon 5 melodies with a hint of new sounds that rock! Love it, love it, love it!!!

Free Music Review: This album is good.

Ignore my last negative review but It Won't Be Soon Before Long was indeed a good album. I like the new influences on this album. I can call this an 80's retro CD because there are influences of 1980's Sting and The Police, Hall and Oates, Michael Jackson, and Prince. This is not a boy band or a girl pop sounding band because everyone plays a real instrument. Their first was neo-soul sounding but this was 80's Prince/Hall and Oates sounding. Come out with another CD soon.

Its ok...but it's not worth buying. Their last CD was excellent, so I bought this one thinking it was the same..its not. It has a few catchy songs, but after the fifth track its time to turn it off. Their sound changed..
