This is my first time listen to a Maroon 5 cd. I really like it. The songs seem short but its still has alot of good tunes. Highly recommended. Free Music Review: Not exactly the sound I think about when I think of Maroon 5

The Good
Adam Levine gets his groove on with "If I Never See Your Face Again," and it just keeps going and going. "Makes Me Wonder" is the most memorable and catchy song on the radio right now. There's something wrong with you if you're not cranking this one, and moving your body to the funky rhythms. Levine is the king of smooth on the mic here. It's back to more of a guitar sound on "Little of Your Time," but the keyboards and programmed effects still tend to dominate. "Won't Go Home Without You" tends to mimic "She Will Be Loved" from the band's last album, but it still has a feeling of its own lyrically. "Nothing Lasts Forever" employs enduring vocal melodies and acoustic guitars to draw you in. "Better Than We Break" is a soulful, piano-based ballad that is delivered with plenty of heart and emotion.
The Bad
Well...it sure ain't "This Love" all over again.
The Verdict
Not exactly the sound I think about when I think of Maroon 5, but I can't say it really turned me off either. Adding keyboards and programmed beats really did add texture to Maroon 5's sound, breaking them out of the modern rock genre and launching them into the power-pop realm. I don't think I'll ever get "Makes Me Wonder" out of my head, but I do have to wonder if fans will accept this new, funkier, and danceable sound.

I am not a music connoisseur, but I just wanted to take a break to tell you how much I love this CD. I buy maybe two or three CDs a year. Usually, Amazon will recommend something that sparks my interest. Such is the case with this purchase. I've had the CD for a couple of months now, and I have to tell you, I cannot stop listening to it. I LOVE IT! It has nearly broken me from my addition to NPR! I hope that makes you want to try it out, cuz I believe this CD is worth its weight in gold - far more valuable to me than the ten bucks I paid for it. ;)Free Music Review: A stand alone follow up...

Well it good to know that one of my favortie groups was able to avoid the sophmore slumps. I love this album, as I loved the first. I'm thankful for a little change to the sound, as it shows an artist desire to change, grow, try new things. This is definately something I'm glad they tried.Free Music Review: Maroon 5 has done it again!

Maroon 5 has another great cd with It Won't Be Soon Before Long. My favorite tracks on this cd are Won't Go Home Without You and Makes Me Wonder. This, like Songs about Jane, is a great workout cd.
