Free Music Notes for Waking Up LaughingFree Music Review: Sparkling melodies and lyrics on Martina's newest CD ! Hit: 5 Stars
I first became acquainted with Martina McBride's beautifully expressive voice through listening to her sing "Valentine" on one of Jim Brickman's albums... Instantly smitten, I began buying her music and have been happily listening every since then... This newest CD has a wealth of good music... with the incredibly lyrical "Beautiful Again", "House Of A Thousand Dreams" and "Anyway"... as with any new CD, I kept waiting for the few songs that I didn't care for... but this never happens to me with Martina's insightful song selection and soaring vocals -- I find myself listening to this album for hours at a time... and know that it is indeed a golden nugget for Martina to cherish always...! Most impressive A++++++!

From the title of one of Waking Up's songs ... Martina is "Beautiful Again"
Free Music Review: Not bad Hit: 5 Stars
I have had this CD playing on my computer at work and the first time through I thought, "Uh-Oh." The more it played the more I have started to love it. My favorite song by far is "I'll Still Be Me." That better be a single! I like tracks 7-11 a lot. "Trying to Find A Reason" is a duet with Keith Urban, but I didn't realize it was a duet until I looked inside the cover. Just sounds like a background vocalist, but the song is not bad.
Target's CD has a bonus DVD with it! Very nice!
Free Music Review: Her Best Work In Years Hit: 5 Stars
This is a 5 star release by the Best Voice in the history of
country music....At least in this fan's opinion...
To watch her grow as an artist, as I have, as a performer, which I have
is a joy!!! Now that she is producing her own work I am sure we expect this
quality of work to continue....
When I listen to a new CD and have trouble picking my favorite cut plus the ones I like as singles I know I am listening to really good work!
Free Music Review: Happy purchase Hit: 5 Stars
I like Martina McBride, I'll start with that. However, I had never had any burning desire to purchase one of her CD's before. This CD was a beautiful surprise. As each song unfolded I discovered new favorites. The music is thoughtful, thought provoking and easy to listen to. I thought "I'd Still Be Me" was my favorite until I got to "Love Land"...but then I had to listen to them all over again and still couldn't decide which was the best.
