Upon my first listen this morning to this stellar release, I am in awe! Nobody can deliver a story in a song the way that MCC can do it! Every album of hers gets deeper and deeper. The Calling pretty much is Between Here and Gone, Part 2. It continues to tackle the ongoing uncertainty the world is feeling. On Houston, MCC tackles the atrosities over the lack of response from the Bush administration to Hurricane Katrina. On On With The Song, she tackles the pathetic right wingers who turned on the Dixie Chicks all for voicing their opinions! Fact is, look at what Bush has done to the country and the world! If anyone reading this, thinks he is a saint then your head is clearly in the sand. MCC dedicates The Calling to her father and the liner notes are extremely touching. This release is a wonderful mix of uptempo and ballads and for anyone who just wants to sit back, relax and hear a true account of the U.S.A. in today's world, pickup The Calling! You'll be so glad you did! AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
