Free Music Notes for The CallingFree Music Review: Best Yet!! Hit: 5 Stars
I have been a huge Mary Chapin fan since her career began. I have to say that this Album is one of the best. She uses her voice to speak out against the fear-based prejudice that has gripped our country. Thank you Mary Chapin Carpenter!
Free Music Review: Back singing what she sings best Hit: 5 Stars
This album is a return to the kind of songs that drew me to Mary Chapin Carpenter in the first place. Story songs, songs that find the intensely personal in even major events.
Remember 'I am a Town'? Ok, you get the idea.
Free Music Review: MCC's best ever Hit: 5 Stars
Her trademark mix of reflective and assertive songs that the lyrics to actually make sense. More mystical than some of her stuff. Defies categorization, she's NOT country! I can't stop listening to it, and am not one prone to gushing.
Free Music Review: The New Sound of Mary Chapin Carpenter Hit: 5 Stars
This is a good example of a REAL star, switching from Country Western to a new genre. Great song choices and great music. This album goes well with Between Here and Gone. Listen to the WORDS. Each track tells a story.
Free Music Review: Calming Carpenter Hit: 5 Stars
Mary Chapin is back to singing in the style that best fits her voice and personality. She sings in a calming way, but conveys a great story. I love this CD and listen to it daily when I get home from my crazy day at work.
