Free Music Notes for Growing PainsFree Music Review: Yes! Mary you did it again! Hit: 5 Stars
Of course I bought the cd just because it was Mary, but I won't lie I was so scared that this cd was not going to match up to the 'The Breakthrough', but 'Growing Pains' is a pleasant surprise. I've listened to 2/3 of the cd so far and I have not met a track that I would skip. I liked that the cd is not filled with guest appearances, but the tracks with Ludacris and Usher do standout for me. This cd is a great mix of self-esteem mantras, party starters and sexy ballads. You will not be disappointed!
Free Music Review: Happy Birthday Mary....... Hit: 5 Stars
I've been a fan of Mary's since 1992, so my review is slanted in her favor. The first single, "Just Fine" is a dance hit in heavy rotation on urban radio. "Till The Morning" produce by Pharrell is a strong 5 star song. "Roses" is a Mary Anthem, dedicated to ladies in tough relationships. "Fade Away" produced by Ne-yo is a song about painful change, and ending a bad relationship. Notice the theme.......Mary brings real emotions in her music, and that's why after 16 years, she's still on top.
Free Music Review: "Mary continues to reign" Hit: 5 Stars
Mary continues to reign. She takes no prisoner as she compiles in this collection, hit after hit. I wasn't too fond of the first track, but as "Luda" screamed out, "Now who you talking to, baby I'm grown!" I imediately began to bang my head. I was sold as she crooned on "Stay Down." By the time "Growing Pains" rolled in I had tears in my eyes. Definetly an album worth a Grammy or two. Thank you Mary for understanding what it means to be a woman. You definetly know how to stake your claim.
Free Music Review: ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY FANTABULOUS!!!! Hit: 5 Stars
My husband and son bought this CD for me as a Christmas gift and since then, not another CD has gone in my CD player. I LOVE this CD! My favs are: Work That (I listen to this almost every morning on my way to work - helps get the day off to a proper start as far as self-esteem is concerned); Fade Away; Smoke and Come to Me (Peace). Remember, these are just my personal favorites. I like every song on the CD, however, the one with Ludacris is probably my least favorite. I love you, MJB!!
Free Music Review: My favorite album today Hit: 5 Stars
This is by far my favorite album from MJB! I've been listening to it non stop since Christmas. I like 9 tracks on the album, which is a record for me! I rarely purchase CDs anymore because, frankly, there isn't a reason too because there are only 2-3 "good songs" - not the case with this one. My favorite is What Love Is, but I also love Work it Out, Just Fine, Like a Woman, Roses, Fade Away, Work in Progress, Smoke and Come to Me (Peace). If you're a fan, this is not an album to miss.
