Many young female singers claim that Mary J. Blige has been a big influence, and I have to ask myself how so. There is a sincerity Mary delivers through her music, which is not present in these younger, less gifted singers. I'm not too crazy about sampling, but I have always made an exception when it came to Mary J. Blige. She has a phenomenal voice and her style has been consistent over the years. 10 years of music has passed and no female artist has come close to this album. It is very hard to follow up the 411 but Mary showed a softer, more soulful side of her and basically made the best RnB CD ever. Whitney can't even touch this album. I bought this CD (Tape) when it first came out and I can still listen to it from start to finish without skipping a beat. This is considered to be Mary J. Blige's best work. It is a great album from start to finish. The songs on the album you really can feel. I can relate to many songs on the album. She sings to everyone and she can change people's life with this CD. The highlights of the album are "My Life" "I'm Goin Down" "Be With You" "I Love You" "No One Else" and "Be Happy" All of these songs are classics in the R&B World. Mary is the best and no one can compare to her. She is my favorite singer and always will be. This ablum is definetly a classic and should be in everyone's collection. Love You Mary
