This album puts a smile on your face and song in your heart. Her magic flute reflects native life with beauty while at the same time honoring the loss of those from Katrina and its devastation. The few vocal offerings she gives are outstanding especialy the title song "Dance With The Wind" which is just beautiful and up for a NAMMY Award for Best Song and Best Female Artist in October 2007. If you love Native American music you will fall in love with this offering from Mary. Beautifully done. What a fabulous feast for the senses! Beginning to end, Mary Youngblood continues to infuse her music with emotion and sensations. From uplifting to despondent, her mastery of this genre is compelling. I am so glad that she found the courage to add her voice to her flutes, and continue to enjoy each new release of Mary's music. I was surprised by this CD. I expected some excellent flute music and I got it, but I also got 3 songs on which Mary Youngblood used her earthy voice. Her writing inside the cover helps define her music. Her music, much of which had to do with the weather phenomena of wind, rain and storms is moving as usual in Mary's music.Free Music Review: Fabulous

Prior to Dance with the Wind, I was not familiar with Mary Youngblood's work, but she is fabulous. Now I will get her other albums and enjoy. In addition to her lovely flute, her voice is as soft as velvet.
