I have wanted to see and hear this opera for some time.
Unfortunately the staging is not good.occasionaly too dark,in the final curtain for instance.
The singing on the wole is good some very much better than others. The only alternative at the moment is to buy the Pavarotti disc. A pity.
Well it was an experience.Listen to it,and think how much more of an impact it would make,when more professionaly staged.
