Free Music Notes for Match PointFree Music Review: Crackle and Hiss Adds To Mood Hit: 5 StarsI don't normally like Woody Allen movies, but I loved Match Point and the soundtrack as well. The crackle and hiss on some of the old recordings added to the beautiful and poignant mood of this CD. I don't like Woody, but I like everything about this film.
Free Music Review: Opera Classics for the 21st Century Hit: 5 StarsOkay, my title is misleading. Nothing has been reinvented here -- it doesn't have to be. These wonderful peices by Operatic greats can make an opera lover out of anyone. Alternately emotionally appealing and tormenting, the album is stragely wonderful as a CD to drive to. I love Woody Allen so take this as a prejudiced review -- I collect his sound tracks. Some are better than other. None are better than this.
Free Music Review: Very good Hit: 5 StarsWhen I watched the movie, I thought the music was amazing so I bought the CD. I've never listened to this type of music and it's a welcome change of pace. It's good even for people who aren't big into opera or classical music.
Free Music Review: Music that calms me Hit: 4 StarsI am no expert. I just like listening to arias that have the capacity to bring me into the music. For me, the songs are like oxygen and taking deep breaths lowers my heart rate and helps me get my mind off everything but the soulfullnes and beauty of the human voice instument.
Free Music Review: Interesting Choices Hit: 4 StarsVery interesting choices for this soundtrack. Very evocative. Understood that these are old recordings, so sound quality is not fabulous.
