I realize they have only released 3 full CDs plus 1 EP, and I, too, was rather surprised when I first heard this was a Greatest Hits compilation. However, the extra CD with previously unreleased songs is terrific, and if you have a Best Buy store by you, they offer an exclusive 2-CD set that includes 2 extra previously unreleased songs for $9.99 this week. Both songs are live cuts; one is a cover of David Bowie's "Modern Love." It is fantastic! I recommend this CD set whether you get it from Best Buy or elsewhere. Ive never considered myself a big MATCHBOX 20 fan but I have to say they
did indeed have a lot of pop hits in the late 90's.The new stuff isn't bad either but its missing the catchyness of the older tunes of coarse,
part of that is because they haven't been played like the older material.
Another factor here is that ROB THOMAS did his solo thing for a bit so hopefully this will be a reunion that lasts long enough to do a whole new cd not just 6 tunes.

This album merits a five if any album does!!!!! Even though there are only six new tracks they are original exciting and all around great songs. Not to mention you get their greatest hits as a bonus. I know owners of previous Matchbox albums were wanting more but judging from the music of this album - - every song is a winner which is hard to say about any album!!!! This band makes amazing music and just doesn't get tiresome. I was fortunate enough to get their first album as a birthday present a long time ago and have been snapping up everything they have produced ever since. They are not a big name in the UK but I am amazed at the fact because everything they do makes you feel something, happy or sad each song is breathtaking. If you love MB20 you will love all 6 of their new songs, and rejoice at having their greatest hits all in one place! MB20 does not disappoint! I think Rob Thomas is great no matter what he does, but when he's with his band he is just at his best-comfortable, uplifting, songs that feel like you've heard them all your life and make you smile while still being cool and edgy, a Matchbox made in heaven!
