The aptly named 100% Fun delivers the goods: pure pop, pure, guitar-driven fun. "Sick of Myself" gets things off to a wonderful start, but pretty much every tune delivers. "We're the Same" is another hook-driven charmer, as is "Everything Changes." Really, most of the songs here are catchy, clever, straightforward. In another day, these would have been referred to as bubblegum pop, but there's more than just that going on here. "Smog Moon" is a great capper. If you enjoy your music with equal parts rock, pop, bubblegum & just a little punk sensability, Matthew Sweet is your guy, & 100% Fun is your album.
