I have long been a great fan of Maysa's first solo album (self titled) from 1995 and have enjoyed her work ever since. This album 'Smooth Sailing', has all the elements you'd expect from Maysa; Soul, RnB, Jazz, upbeat and smooth. Every track a winner. 'Hypnotic Love' and 'Scat World' being particular favorites of mine.
If this album is your first taste of Maysa, I guarantee you won't be disappointed and you'll definitely be coming back for more. The UK release of this album (available from www.amazon.co.uk) contains two additional tracks.

Anyone who is familar with Incognito knows the smoky voiced, sometimes lead singer of the band. Maysa's distinctive voice does her proud on this effort. But, I had no idea she had an project out after the amazing "Out of the Blue" cd. Again, here is another artist with no promotion who has to rely on word of mouth for her p&r. Well, from out of my mouth, Maysa is the best smooth jazz/soul singer out there today. This album is so smooth from cut to cut. A must have for any collection.Free Music Review: So Very Very 5 Stars
Maysa is back and this is her best one yet. I own all of her previous recordings and love them all. It's sad to say, but I accidently found out about this recording. Where was/is the promotion? Maysa is definitely an underrated artist. I love every track on the CD, it's one that you can listen to without skipping a song. I love you Maysa, as well as my family and friends, so that will be a nice amount of people running out to purchase this CD.Free Music Review: She's Back!

It's Maysa. That's all one really needs to say about this phenomenal woman. Doesn't matter if the song is uptempo, midtempo, or down tempo, you think, you're in flight. Her vocals are smooth and buttery...! If you're just being introduced to Maysa, you have quite a few projects to choose from..not just her solo albums, but her superb work with Incognito. She truly is a voice of our time. Such talent.
