Free Music Notes for The Very Best of Meat Loaf

Free Music Review: The most unbelieveably talent voice and performer: meat loaf
Hit: 5 Stars

I love this man, and this album. he is in my opinion the most interesting, unique, and amiable performers on the planet. He lives for the performance and lays his body and soul on the stage upon each appearance. I have not seen a man display such an intimate passion for the art of music as Meat Loaf does on stage. His voice and sheer presence are unbelievable and demand respect. He IS the "hardest working man" in the music business. His songs are deep and involved, combining in-depth lyrics (thank you both to steinman and meat loaf himself)and pure vehemence in peformance , and not fleeting, impersonal, or topical. He is a true "rock and roller" in the deepest sense of the phrase. and this cd is just an extension of this great man

Free Music Review: Exactly what the label says
Hit: 5 Stars

This is definitely an album that no Meat Loaf fan should be without. It has hits like the #1 smash "I'd Do Anything For Love," "I'd Lie For You And That's the Truth," and "Midnight at the Lost and Found." It also has several songs that you can't get on other albums such as "Home By Now/No Matter What" and "A Kiss Is a Terrible Thing to Waste," among others. Each of the new songs have lyrics written by Jim Steinman, music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, and sung by (of course) Meat Loaf. With such a trio, no one can doubt that they have something special. Final words: If your a Meat Loaf fan, you've got to get this one. I you haven't really heared much from him, this is the album to start with.

Free Music Review: ALMOST the very best
Hit: 5 Stars

I have been listening to MeatLoaf for 10 years. As we all know, it takes immense talent on both the parts of the band and the writer(s) to keep fans' attention for that long. This 2 CD compilation tells you how they did it. The first CD is a listing of a lot of the older, original MeatLoaf, the stuff that made him a worldwide name, as well as a few songs rarely, if ever, heard before. The second CD introduces the second best MeatLoaf song of all time (behind Bat Ou of Hell), A Kiss Is A Terrible Thing To Waste. If for no other reason, but this set for that song alone. It also pulls a lot from Welcome To the Neighborhood.
By far, this is the best MeatLoaf compilation out, but still not as great as the album Bat Out Of Hell.

Free Music Review: The Meat Of Our Hearts
Hit: 5 Stars

Loaf has always captured my heart in a way most music doesn't have. He simply had me at "i'd do anything for love!" this cd is worth it all (all meat loaf fans should agree, right?) One of my favourites though is missing: Out of the frying pan (and into the fire), but that is absolutely the only flaw of this compilation (if u could call it a flaw at all!)

If you are just getting into the Meat, this is the cd for you. Bat out of hell would also be a good starter but "greatest hits" or "the best of" titles have always caught my attention.

This is the only cd i have of meat and im already a huge fan! That should tell you something!!

Free Music Review: Start With This Or Both Bats
Hit: 5 Stars

Finally, at long last, we get a good "best of" collection from Meat Loaf. This one succeeds where the previous ones have failed by focusing on Meat's entire career. It has nearly all the big hits: Paradise, Two Out of Three, I'd Do Anything For Love, Life Is A Lemon, I'd Lie For You, and, of course, Bat Out of Hell, etc. Also included are lesser known (but nearly as good) songs like Midnight, Dead Ringer, and Modern Girl, as well as some great new orchestrated songs. In short, nearly everything you could want. Start your Meat Loaf collection with this or the two Bat albums.
