Free Music Notes for Peace Sells...But Who's Buying?Free Music Review: Asking for Peace? Hit: 5 Stars
After a great debut album "Killing Is My Business...And Business Is Good!", Dave Mustaine and his band makes even better album. "The Conjuring", "Devil's island", "Good Mourning/Black Friday", "Bad Omen", and "My Last Words" are all great tracks about the danger of satanism. When Dave sings "I've Got Your Soul, I've Got Your Soul"...I think it is the most rudest and toughest sentence even sung... "Wake Up Dead" is a killer starter...there's no much lyrics but the guitar riffs are so excellent that they could kill all the false metal that exists in the world. Beware, Axl, Megadeth is coming... "I ain't Superstitious" (made by Willie Dixon) is the only track in this album that doesn't rock so much...it's like a track from 60's. "Peace Sells" is a killer track...fine "What Do You Mean 'I Don't Believe in God.' I Talk to Him Everyday..."
Stars: Wake Up Dead, The Conjuring, Peace Sells
Free Music Review: AMAZING!!! Hit: 5 Stars
Ah thrash metal in 1986! What a terrific year for the genre! First we had Metallica's "Master of Puppets". Then we had Slayer's "Reign in Blood". And now we have Megadeth's "Peace Sells...But Who's Buying"!
This was Megadeth's breakthrough album and their best one along with "Rust in Peace". Dave Mustain and Marty Friedman are an awesome team of guitarists! Only a complete idiot would give this one star (*cough* "I Love Fall Out Boy" *cough*). Every song here is awesome but the title track really stands out. It may be my favorite Megadeth song ever! I mean every metalhead should like this song! This is almost as good as Metallica and Slayer! Luckily just like Slayer and unlike Metallica, Megadeth are still doing really awesome today! However if you're looking for some classic thrash metal in thrash's golden year(1986) then buy this album immediately!
Free Music Review: Thrash Metal Perfection Hit: 5 Stars
Megadeth has had almost as many lineup changes as Iced Earth, but before they became known for having countless lineup changes', megadeth created some of the greatest thrash metal records of all time. Peace Sells...But Who's Buying is a phenominal record. This album made me a fan of megadeth. Songs like "Wake Up Dead" "The Conjuring" and "Peace Sells" are just some of the tracks that show off the great musicianship the original megadeth lineup had. The chemistry Mustaine and Poland have is amazing. This album truly gave Mustiane and Poland guitar god status. Dave Mustaine, Chris Poland, David Ellefson, and the late Gar Samuelson truly make this album a classic. Pick up this album if you don't have it. It is truly a must have. And as for that stupid i love fall out boy braud, shut your mouth. Go shove those stupid fall out boy cd's up your A**!!!!!
Free Music Review: An excellent remaster Hit: 5 Stars
Dave did a great job on this one.. no big changes to the songs but they sound awesome
1 - Wake Up Dead - 10/10 Great Opener
2 - The Conjuring -9.4/10 - i always thought this was a cool song
3 - Peace Sells - 10/10 - Classic metal and megadeth song
4 - Devils Island - 9/10 - A classic in its own right, somewhat catchy
5 - Black Friday - 10/10 - Starts out really slow... goes mid-tempo at the 'Black Friday' part, then turns into a totally brutal thrash song.. if you can wait until the second half of this song, the energy and brutality is amazing.
6 - Bad Omen -8/10 - Starts off okay, the ending is better, though
7 - I Aint supersticious - 9/10 - I know some people dont like this song but it helps add variety to album, cool cover song
8 - My Last Words - 9/10 -great closer
Free Music Review: This album rips so hard. Hit: 5 Stars
This is one of those discs that gets better and better the more you listen to it. Undoubtedly, Megadeth were the most inventive speed metal band of the 80s. This album is filled to the brim with not only riffs galore, but individual guitar fills that add a unique flavor to these songs. This ain't just a typical boneheaded "chugga-chugga" album. This is heavy metal by a guy who has a firm grasp on what works musically. Of the three big thrash albums of '86, this one is by far the cathiest. Mustaine could have had a very lucrative career as a pop songwriter if he wanted, but I guess he'd rather tear people's faces off instead.
This is a quantum leap from their debut album (which ain't a shabby record, mind you) and it remained their best until 1990's Rust In Peace.
