Free Music Review: Lightning in a Bottle
Hit: 5 Stars

That's the only way to describe this 2 disc set from one of the biggest and best metal bands out there today. The guitars sound tinny and distorted at times, but it adds to the old-school feel of the whole TWNAH Tour when they played small venues. Burning Bridges sounds great live, as does 1000 Times Goodbye and Ashes in your Mouth. The Megamen's sound on this record is super heavy and super crunchy, and sounds better than a lot of their polished studio albums. Dave's vocals aren't so great, but that isn't what Megadeth is about. Megadeth is all about the music and Dave's awesome songwriting, which is on full display on this record. And the sound quality overall for a live album is pretty good, but not up to the quality of Alive in Athens. Anyway, a good purchase to get the sound of a Megadeth concert on your stereo. Must be listened to w/ volume cranked up all the way to get the full effect. Megadeth rules.

Free Music Review: Awesome Live Cd in a Sea of Live cd's
Hit: 5 Stars

Several Live cd's have come out in the last 1 1/2 - 2 years...awesome Live cd's: Guns 'N' Roses Live Era, Steve Vai Alive In An Ultra World, Black Label Society Alocohol Fueled Brewtality - just to name a few. Rude Awakening stands strong with all of them. Awesome Live quality and if you've ever seen Megadeth live, this is an accurate portrayal of a Megadeth show.
She Wolf jumps out at me with the extended guitar solos...Dave and Al swapping licks, right into Jimmy's drum solo.
The tracks from Megadeth's first 3 cd's couldn't sound better if they were remastered. In My Darkest Hour, Wake Up Dead & Devil's Island all sound unbelievable...and let us not forget Mechanix.
Whether you have all of Megadeth's cd's or just like the radio stuff, this is a must-have if you like them at all. This is the best sounding live cd I've heard by any real heavy, Metal artist or band.

Free Music Review: MEGADETH... ALIVE AND KICKING
Hit: 5 Stars

This live album shows where Megadeth shines the brightest, in live setting. The fact that the album was recorded not in a stadium only adds to the urgent, angry atmosphere of the concert. Twenty four tracks, touching almost every album that Megadeth ever recorded (except Risk) performed brilliantly by Dave, David, Al and Jimmy in Arizona during their successful The World Needs A Hero Tour. For those who went to any of the TWNAH concert, you don't want to miss this album. This will definitely remind you of the show you watched.

The setlist is almost perfect with a noticable lack of "Risk". It has the hits (Symphony of Destruction, Trust, Hangar 18, Peace Sells)as well as great album tracks (Mechanix, Hook In Mouth, Ashes In Your Mouth, She Wolf). The highlight of the album has to be the extended version of She Wolf, with guitar and drum solos.

5/5

Free Music Review: excellent live album
Hit: 5 Stars

This album sounds great, nice chunky clear recording. My gripes with it are: some songs (ie. Hanger 18, holy wars) are played to fast for their own good, Al Pitrelli doesn't play some of the friedman solos very well (especially hanger 18). And I hate the songs trust and kill the king. But thats just me. Contarary to what some people have said in their reviews of this album, Dave Mustaine sings all the songs on this album (just watch the DVD), but he cleary is straining a bit on a few of them (Train of Consequences, Devil's Island). At first I found it a little bit cringy, but i soon found myself enjoying this singing. It never really sounds off key, just raw and weird. The singing at the start of Tout Le Monde is pretty poor though. Overall, very good album, everything played excellently, good choice of songs. Devils Island is just brilliant....

Free Music Review: It's megadeth and it's live. What do you expect?
Hit: 5 Stars

This is a really really really really really really really great live cd. It sounds excellent. Everything is very loud and clear sounding but at the same time it sounds raw and it never loosed that live edge. The guitar solos are excellent and the rythm guitar sounds superb.

Megadeth is one of the top 5 greatest metal bands ever and this cd only proves that statement more and more. The crowd sounds very exciting and seem to be really into the concert. Listening to this cd give you a really great experience.

I give this cd my highest possible recommendation. My only complaint about this cd is that some of my personal megadeth favorites are not on here(dissconect, the world needs a hero, and Architecture of Aggression). But this is a minor complaint as if i want to here these songs all i got to do is play the cd.
