As a veteran mosher at 18 Megadeth shows, I can assure you that this album captures the energy and excitement of their live performance. It had me on my feet and headbanging from the first track. What minor imperfections there may be in execution (and who's so perfect as to not make a mistake or two in a sustained live performance?) are counterbalanced by the clarity of the vocals, especially nice to finally hear in some of the earlier songs. These double disks go immediately to the head of the class in my CD rotation!Free Music Review: This CD Rocks

First off, I may only be 16 and although I wasn't around for Megadeth back in the day, I can tell that this is a masterpiece. For one thing, it beats the hell outta that S&M .... This CD is worth buying just for the guitars alone. Hard ...riffs with some of the fastest solos to go along. And to many people's surprise, Dave Mustaine's singing was great. Say what you may, but my opinion stands...Megadeth has Metallica beat on any album with a slight exception to Kill 'Em All. This was well worth the wait. I've always been a big fan of live recordings and have been waiting patiently for Megadeth to release a live CD.I've seen Megadeth live and they have done an excellant job of capturing the sound as it would be at a show. Then there are the tracks chosen, couldn't be better, the best of the best.
With Megadeth's recently announced disbandment, this CD was a must, and I must add an excellant way to go out. Buy it, you won't be dissapointed.

I only got a word to describe this album: Amazing! Ok, it might not be the best sound ever for a live (i.e. S&M or others), not the best vocal performance ever from Mustaine, but everything sounds fine anyway... Way better than on Live Trax, for example...High energy from this veteran band. A must album, even for those who didn't know too much Megadeth.
Put it on stereo at every hour of the day... Rude Awakening? Maybe for neighbourhood, not for our ears!!!

This two CD set rocks! Not much more needs to be said about it. I am not a huge fan of live CDs at all, but this is a must have esp. with the recent announcement by the band of Dave's injury and their impending breakup. The Hanger 18 then Return to Hanger sequence really trips my trigger.I own the DVD as well and it offers some great concert footage of the band (over 2 hours!), and interview takes as well. I'm crushed to see em break up.
