There is a lot to like about this album. The sound is true Melissa, with her rock take on a few classics but the best part is her own songs. I like the way she writes, she really tells a story and you can feel the passion. I reckon there are a couple of contenders for a christmas number 1 here. Although not the best album Melissa has produced as it has a tough act to follow in "The Awakening" it is certainly streets ahead of all other "Christmas" albums, Melissa really does put the Rock into christmas in her own inimitable style, each song is absolute perfection and a must for everybody to play this christmas time and any other time of the year really. It is so great to hear some NEW Christmas tunes...especially when they are sung so passionately by the great Melissa Etheridge. I really enjoyed her versions of some of the classics, as well as her original songs. She's written some great lyrics and the message is clear...let's remember that Christmas is a time for peace. Loved this one!
