i was so thrilled to see melissa had new music out, but was sadly disappointed after listening to "the awakening" - a definite departure from what we love about her, choppy and not very melodic, it almost seems as if she's trying to be "cute"... too bad she didn't pick up where she left off... i'm a tried and true fan who owns all her previous works and wish i hadn't purchased this one ; (
