Free Music Notes for Nude with BootsFree Music Review: More Dissapointing than "Colossus of Destiny" Hit: 1 StarsAmazon music reviews are only written by fans and are not helpful at all, come on everything is 4-and-a-half stars, seriously look around who do these help. I just like pushing the "publish" button. I thought I reviewed this album a while ago here and remember giving it 3 stars. Well, not by a long shot, maybe that week I was convinced it was that good since I had to drive all over town to find it on the day it came out but, what a disappointment. Nothing at all worth mentioning or that rocks out. Well, "Suicide in Progress" isn't that bad, what a great title, too bad it ends there. But I would still get it if I were you, a bad Melvins' album is still better than a good album from whoever.
Free Music Review: The Melvins album I've been waiting for. Hit: 5 StarsAh, it's so good to listen to this album. I've been listening to the Melvins for about 11 years now after seeing them at a local club called Liberty Lunch (RIP). This thing will get some serious play time in your music player of choice.
Reminds me of Stag and Stoner Witch. Wonderful stuff. Get it now. You won't be disappointed.
Free Music Review: You definitely need to get this one. Hit: 4 StarsI'm a big Melvins fan, but don't love all their stuff. I loved A Senile Animal and this new one is great, too. If you're new to the band and don't know where to start, this is a great introduction to the band. It combines some of their most straight ahead rock stuff ever and a good sample of their more experimental side.
If you're already a fan, you probably know what to expect. The rock stuff is great, parts of it almost Zeppeliny and there's a little bit of cowbell. Some of the experimental stuff reminds me a little of the Pigs of the Roman Empire record with Lustmord. The title track is very commercial, too bad modern rock radio doesn't exist anymore.
Like the other reviewer, I've only listened to this once but I'll be playing it a lot in the coming weeks. Make sure you pick this up. And check out Mighty High...In Drug City while you're at it.
Free Music Review: Go get it! Hit: 5 StarsI have only listened through the CD once, and I already love it! Like A senile animal, some of my favorite stuff since the early 90's. Classic Melvin's sound!
