Free Music Notes for Memoirs of a Geisha [Original Motion Picture Soundtrack]

Free Music Review: Exquisite
Hit: 5 Stars

This music is so in sync with every aspect of the charactors and what is going on that it's kind of scary. Genius is all I can say. How subtle, how haunting. My heart was actually hurting when I listened to it. Perlman and Yo Yo Ma are paired perfectly together. The score is magnificent. I haven't felt so moved with music in a long time. This CD makes me want to watch the movie over and over just to see and remember again what is going on at what part of the score. I absolutely love it. Makes me want to learn how to play the violin and cello.

Hit: 5 Stars

I just saw the movie of Memoirs of a Geisha last night, and I loved it. I had to read the book for school, and I loved it too. I absolutely love the soundtrack. As a young violinist, I loved the fact that John Williams chose Itzhak Perlman to perform the violin solos. I also love Yo-Yo Ma, an amazing cellist. If you can tell me where I can find just the violin muisc, nothing else. Please post a review on here.

Free Music Review: Brilliantly Tranquil and Captivating
Hit: 5 Stars

MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA is a brilliantly tranquil soundtrack from composer John Williams. Williams continues to astonish us with his endless and seemingly undiminished ability to compose ever-moving scores with innovativeness and insight. This is an incredibly interesting and brilliant soundtrack that surreptitiously explores so many cavernous regions of the mind's eye. It is very moving and captivating.

Free Music Review: Another Masterpiece
Hit: 5 Stars

I simply cannot stop listening to this score. Williams shows again what a genius he is. I don't know alot of technical jargon, I only know I heard this soundtrack and sat spellbound, that's all I need to say. I also found Revenge of the Sith to be a fantastic score as was War of the Worlds (scared me silly).

John is just amazing as usual.

Free Music Review: Williams and Perhlman
Hit: 5 Stars

I knew when I was watching the movie that Perhlman was playing that violin. He has a style all his own. There is no one who can make a violin talk like Perhlman. Then to find out that Williams was the conductor! That made it perfect. The Pops has never been the same since he left!!! The music is so good, you can almost "see" the movie through it.
