Free Music Notes for Donnie Darko (Score)

Free Music Review: love the movie, love the score, love mad world!
Hit: 5 Stars

first of all let me start by saying to the poster before me that you should totally see the movie. it's fantastic, and i can't wait till the re-relase this month! anyway, this soundtrack transports me to a different place and time...and i'm so in love with the cover of mad world that before i got the soundtrack i would just watch the last chapter of the DVD over and over again just to hear the song! hehe :) anyway, go see the movie, buy the dvd, get the soundtrack. u'll be glad u did! :)

Free Music Review: Haunting..
Hit: 5 Stars

The score from Donnie Darko is by far the best I've ever heard. Forget about the fact that it's low budjet and that the 80's music is absent and just concentrate on the wonderful stuff that is there! The fact that they included the superb cover of "Mad World" is also a brilliant bonus, although you may find yourself reminising to the part in the movie which makes everyone sad!
Don't even think about it- order this score now and appreciate it for what it is.

Free Music Review: Donnie Darko
Hit: 5 Stars

It's sad that the budget for the production of this film was only 4 million(yes yes thats all, I do not lie); because that is the reason they couldn't put all those great 80's tracks on the soundtrack as well as the music by Andrews. Fortunately, Andrews makes up for that with a powerful and emotional score for this mind-bending thriller. The music is just all around great music. I absolutely love every minute of this ST, with or Without Duran Duran!

Free Music Review: Bet you didn't know Pantera's music is in the movie...
Hit: 5 Stars

Yes... During the party scene, there's a typical 80s sounding metal song. Proud To Be Loud by Pantera. It actually did come out in 1988 on their Power Metal album. Good luck finding it though, way out of print. I'm not even sure how they got permission to use the song if they did, cause Pantera doesn't exactly mention their pre-1990 days anymore.

Sucks this soundtrack never came out, just the score. The movie is amazing

Free Music Review: Halloween Frightmare?
Hit: 5 Stars

This score was excellent. I certainly recommend it, and not just for the cover of Mad World. However, does anyone know who did the song that plays during the "Halloween Frightmare" scene and the first song of the opening credits. I found it to be one of my favorites of the film, but it is not in the score, nor have I been able to figure out which it is from the soundtrack credits.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
