Buy this record for the sheer brilliance of Michael Andrews - not the bitchin' pop songs you remember from DONNIE DARKO. There is only one song on this album and it's #1 in the UK. It's Michael Andrews' cover of MAD WORLD with Gary Jules. It is a damned amazing song. The entire record is damned amazing, but this is not a pop record. It is a record composed entirely of beautifully sparse piano music. I love it. You will too.Free Music Review: HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

I GOT THE SONG THEY PLAY IN THE MOVIE THEATRE WITH FRANK AND DONNIE DARKO.The song is beautiful it's too bad it's not on the soundtrack, I did buy this soundtrack and love it and love the film even more!!! Very thought provoking, and the mirror scene between Donnie and Frank is better than the mirror scene with Neo in the Matrix where he touches the mirror and its like water... Donnie Darko's version is much better.

This soundtrack totally captures the mood and feel of one of my favorite films. I love it. Its only forty minutes long, but its a treasure. Micheal Andrews is a great composer, and wrote the perfect score. Every track on this CD is awesome, although I wish they would've included the eighties songs that play throughout the movie. Its a great score album that should belong to everyone that loves the movie.BUY IT.

This is the most inspiring dark soundtrack I have ever heard.If Michael Andrews would have been around when Stanley Kubrick, you can bet your arse Kubrick would have taken him on board for any movie.
Imagine The Shinning, but for modern (even futuristic) times.
Very simplistic, yet it attacks all your senses at once, leaving no one indifferent.
This is a masterpiece.
