Free Music Notes for It's TimeFree Music Review: Not a bad song on the whole CD! Hit: 5 StarsMichael Buble sings like the love child of Frank Sinatra, Harry Connick, Jr., Dean Martin, and maybe a little Perry Como and Andy Williams thrown in for good measure. The guy is SMOOOOOOOOOOOTH. Not only that, he has an unerring instinct for the unusual song arrangement. How do you take "Can't Buy Me Love" and turn it into an homage to both the Beatles and Benny Goodman-era swing? Somehow, Buble manages to do it. And in "Feeling Good," the opening track on this CD, he injects a considerable amount of James Bondesque thematic stuff--check out the snazzy, brassy horn arrangements here.
When he's paired with anyone, he's going to make them sound better than they might on their own. I'm not a big Nelly Furtado fan, but on their duet on "Quando, Quando, Quando," he makes her sound worth longing for--and she sounds simultaneously innocent (in her aching for him) and sultry--as though she's slinking across a piano wearing little more than Chanel No. 5 and a smile.
"Save the Last Dance For Me" becomes a salsa/samba/tango tune that is less about dancing and more about what happens at home after the dancing--and on "Home," a tune Buble had a hand in writing, he addresses his own frenetic touring lifestyle and the importance of remembering who's waiting when the tour is done. All in all, a stellar, outstanding effort by an adventurous and talented musician.
Free Music Review: awesome Hit: 5 StarsThis is probably the BEST voice I have heard in a long time. You can feel the songs that he sings. I recommend this CD to everyone; because this is the way music should be.
Free Music Review: Another Great Album Hit: 5 StarsI love Michael's music. Home is my favorite song on the album because as I listen to it I really feel his need to be with the people he love. He wrote this on the road while touring because he missed his family back home and it is absolutely beautiful. This album gets five stars. (Anyway, anyone who can master Gershwin's A Foggy Day (In London) gets a fiver from me. Love Gershwin!!!)
Free Music Review: Yep - Buble wins again Hit: 5 StarsOK - I'm partial to Buble. But the boy has a voice and the talent to reallly deliver a song. He has the big band sensibility with some current sassiness that really hits home. The arrangements are brilliant. He should be around for many years to come - as long as there are people who are ga ga for the standards.
Free Music Review: New Timeless Classic for Young & Old Hit: 5 StarsI am just going to echo the hundreds of 5 star ratings for this CD. Anyone can find something touching in this album from 21 to 101 years old. I loved this cd so much that I had the last song, "You and I" played for my 1st dance with my husband at our wedding last year - you know its a beautiful song when I get teary eyed just typing this!
A+
