Free Music Notes for Call Me IrresponsibleFree Music Review: Talk about HOT!! Hit: 5 Stars
I have loved Michael Bublé since the first time I heard him. (And he's absolutely amazing in concert!) And with this album he just proves why every female in the world should be listening to him. He sings these songs so sexy and with his own great personality that even the old favorites can become new hits again. "Your Man" is exactly what every woman wants her man to say... better yet, sing to her like Bublé - that would be perfect. "Everything" is so catchy and fun that even my 3-year-old son loves it. "It Had Better Be Tonight", with it's salsa sound, makes you want to dance. "Lost" and "Comin' Home" are songs that make you feel like he's singing to you. He has such emotion in his songs that you can't help but feel good when listening to them. If you don't have any Bublé music... shame on you... but this is a great place to start! Once you're hooked, you can't help but collect everything he sings. To be so young and to have such a sexy voice with the old-school feel... what's not to love?! This is the music today's kids should be listening to and the type of singer they should be looking up to.
Free Music Review: THE REAL DEAL Hit: 5 Stars
Taste in music is such a personal matter and evidence of that is certainly on display in the varied opinions here. Some people like lots of fast songs. Some like the ballads, some like originals, some like covers, some like the vocals more polished and some like them a little rough around the edges. As for my taste, I enjoyed all of Buble's work up to this point but wasn't convinced of his greatness...Until now. The song selection is superb and no two songs sound alike while many styles are represented. And yet, mysteriously, there is cohesiveness to the selections that pull it all together. Perhaps the strength of Buble's personality that shines through in each song is the binding that creates the whole. Yet on the whole, this CD lacks the polish of his previous CD's. But there lies much of it's charm. Buble sang these tracks live without overdubs and multi tracking and as a result, his soul, imperfections and all, is allowed to come through. This is a lot of the appeal for me. Buble is the real deal and if this release is any indication, as good as it is, the best really is yet to come.
Free Music Review: A fine Candian import! Hit: 5 Stars
Okay, hands down...this guy is just SMOOTH! His last cd was really good, especially his self-penned single, "Home". Again Michael Buble delivers his Sinatraesque version of music to a new audience but putting more of himself in each cd. (So I guess we should say this cd is more Bublesque!)
The first single released from the new cd, "Everything", for some reason reminds me of a Norah Jones song. Its a good single to lead off this new set of songs. Buble does great versions of "I'm Your Man" and "Comin'Home Baby" with guest vocalists, Boyz II Men. His cover of Willie Nelson's "Always On My Mind" is simple and pure and one of the gems in this new set. "Call Me Irresponsible" is really good as well (if you can't forget his dreadful performance a few weeks ago on American Idol, which Buble chalked up to a case of nerves). He also continues to give us some nice Latin tinged music with "It Had Better Be Tonight".
Buble is the crooner of this generation. Well worth adding to a real music lovers cd collection. Highly recommended!
Free Music Review: The Best is Yet to Come-and this is it! Hit: 5 Stars
I have highly anticipated a new Michael Buble CD since his last one came out. It is hard to immediately have new "favorite" songs, since I have every word and note from all his other CD's memorized. It happened though. "It Had Better Be Tonight" and "I'm Your Man" are just a couple of songs that make me want to drive around in my car with the top down and sing along. While not every song is what I would consider unforgettable, I still do like EVERY song. They all have their own something special about them. Michael has stated in several interviews that he wanted to stay true to himself and the music he loves. This is obvious in the classics, as well as the two new songs he wrote. The band is wonderful as well. Alan Chang returns as the consummate pianist, bringing his own special style to the CD. I would highly recommend this CD to men and women, children and the elderly. Keep up the good work! I look forward to many years of listening to your wonderful music and seeing your highly entertaining live performances.
Free Music Review: Don't miss out Hit: 5 Stars
I'll never understand why people get so stuck on Frank Sinatra when they hear Michael Buble sing an older song. First off, a lot of Sinatra's big hits weren't his originals. I think people that have this problem must have some type of OCD. I'm very glad Buble has given new life to the older songs and for me, has made them his own. The older songs and artists is what inspire Michael Buble. And lets face it, nothing is wrong with that. You can appreciate the music of a bygone era as most of us do, but open your mind to a great entertainer because that is what Michael Buble is. He exceptionally talented and this CD is amazing. The song "Always On My Mind" is beautiful and for me, it's the best version I've ever heard. Matter of fact, I believe this CD proves he can take any song and make it 100% his. I'm You Man" has to be his sexiest song yet. The song "Everything" was written by Michael, it has a old era vibe to it and is a fantastic love song. If you enjoy a beautiful voice and great songs, this CD is a must buy.
