Free Music Review: Beautiful!
Hit: 5 Stars

Such beautiful music for rocking and singing your baby to sleep! I found it so touching, I would constantly get teary-eyed. I'm sending it to three of my friends who have new babies and/or are expecting.

The "Lullaby for the Innocents"...one reveiwer wrote that it was a requiem for aborted babies...although it is a sad poem (it wasn't recorded on the CD), it doesn't remind me of abortions, but rather of those poor newborns who are abandoned in dumpsters. Poor little things... ANYWAY - I think it would be an alright gift to give to someone who had previously lost a child, as the lost child WAS loved and cherished and held dear.
That's just my humble opinion.

Free Music Review: Sweet and Soothing.....
Hit: 5 Stars

I bought this CD when my daughter was baptized after receiving the book as a gift. This is a very soothing and melodic compilation. The songs are beautiful. My daughter goes to sleep listening to this CD almost every night. It was also soothing to me when she was an infant and I was trying to get her to sleep. Helped smooth the frazzled nerves as I rocked her. She is now almost 4 and still loves it. I now give this as a gift to friends with new babies. It is a wonderful CD.

Free Music Review: Very soothing, but...
Hit: 2 Stars

The music is lovely and soothing. The lyrics, for the most part, are profound and meaningful, but are occasionally sad and occasionally preachy. What bothers me most about this CD is the lullaby for the innocents, never to be sung. It's a poem printed in the book and CD jacket, and is a sort of requiem for aborted babies. I did not like thinking of aborted babies every time I put the CD in (listed as sort of the last track). Further, I would never give this as a gift to anyone who lost a child to miscarriage, my best friend being one of those people - her much-loved and desired little one also could not be calmed by her lullabies and is far beyond her reach. I think Michael Card was just not thinking of those poor women when he put in his requiem, and it would be heartbreaking for anyone who ever lost a child to read this poem.

Free Music Review: Best Baby Gift
Hit: 5 Stars

This is the best baby gift I received and I now give it to anyone I know who's expecting a little blessing. The tunes are gentle and rocking, perfect for soothing the baby to sleep, and yet the lyrics are so profound that the parents will not tire of them. As the child gets older and he/she comes to know the meaning of the words, it firmly grounds them in the secure love of God. If you've had enough of Barney, Raffi, and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, this CD is for you! It takes lullabyes to a whole new level...God's!

Free Music Review: Not only do my children love it, I do too!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

I got my first copy of this CD as a gift when I was pregnant with my son (who's now 5 years old!). He has listened to it every night over the years and can't go to sleep without it. As the years have passed, I've also rocked my daughter to sleep with the music and have memorized every word - it is truly my favorite lullaby CD of all time! I highly recommend this CD - sweet, calming lullabies that are sure to become your child's and your favorites, too.
