Free Music Notes for Michael Flatley's Lord Of The DanceFree Music Review: Pure Irish Heartbeat ! Hit: 5 Stars
This CD is a sensational piece of pure Irish music. It is full of great songs with a common style in all of them. It is , in fact, the soundtrack of one of the most impressive musical plays with dancing. There are deep, beautiful songs, uplifting ones, that offer you a rich diversity of tunes. It is usually Uilleann Pipes and serious fiddle playing, both of which abound on this album. The rhythm becomes progressively faster by playing the same melody more and more quickly. You may think that listening to the same melody repeated times is boring, but it's not. After listening to the 1st minute you'll blame yourself for having thought such a wrong thing before. Besides being a great actor, Michael Flatley is one of the best dancers in the contemporary scene. As a dancer, I envy his ability to show his true feelings while he is moving his body. If you have the chance, watch the video and you'll get the impression you're in the audience.*****Absolutely, it is the best compilation of Irish music*****
Free Music Review: The Best Irish CD Hit: 5 Stars
Being an Irish dancer, I have a deeper appreciation of Irish music than most other people in the United States and the world. A lot of people I know cannot stand to hear even one minute of Irish music. All of my friends and myself find this CD the best compilation of Irish music I have ever heard, even my sister who despises Irish dance. There are deep, beautiful songs, uplifting songs and even rock songs with a bit of Irish music. The CD was cleverly put together, even with the special feature of dancers dancing in the shows on the last two songs. This CD is great because it is not just Irish music, but a little bit of everything, appealing to everyone. It was worth every penny; I love Lord of the Dance!!!!
Free Music Review: Incredible! Hit: 5 Stars
If you liked Riverdance, you'll love this. After listening to the free samples on this site, I badgered my mum into buying the CD. From the minute I put it on my walkman, I loved it. The way the composer mixes traditional instruments like fiddles with modern instruments like Saxophones and Keyboards is amazing. This gives the music a thicker feel, pushing it way above Riverdance. Whether you have Celtic blood or not you will love it!
Tracks 16 and 17 are especially brilliant with the fast tapping of Michael Flately's feet along with the rest of the Troop. I really want to see the show now!
Buy it or miss out on some of the best music around.
Free Music Review: Wonderful modern celtic energy! Hit: 5 Stars
I am an avid LotD fan, and have seen it live numerous times. If you can't see it in person, this is the next best thing. The music on this soundtrack takes you from fast-paced, energetic, upbeat tempos that make you want to dance till you drop, to slow, melodic, relaxing songs that make you ponder the world around you. There is someting on this CD for everyone - I have given this CD as a gift to 12 people, ranging in ages from 9 to 86, and every single one finds a song that touches them. The music is unlike any other celtic music to date, and is a must buy for everyone. You will not be sorry!
Free Music Review: It's beautiful Hit: 5 Stars
I first experienced this album while roleplaying with friends, I was not familiar with Lord of the Dance at all. The music was so entrancing, I had to find out what it was. I borrowed the album for weeks from a friend, much to his dismay, until I finally bought my own copy. I love it! All of the tracks, whether they follow the traditional Celtic music scheme or not, are beautiful in their own way. My favorite is Warriors, Track 4. It takes me away to the places I can only find inside my imagination. It gives me visions of preparations for a great battle... The album is lovely.
