When I first heard of Michael Flatley's Lord Of The Dance through a friend, I was sceptical. My favorite all time musical was West Side Story. But I must admit, after seeing this group perform at the Radio City Music Hall, I was speechless. The scene that sent chills through my body was the Gypsy scene. It was sultry, sexy, bold, and the music that accompanied was dramatic and exciting. I now have a new No. 1 favorite musical of all time. It is Michael Flatley's Lord Of The Dance! This is definitley a CD that you will engage the repeat button on your CD player over & over.Free Music Review: Great, but incomplete

My daughter is an Irish step dancer, and we've seen the traveling LOTD show. Her school performs to many of the songs. We also own the LOTD dvd. I just bought this disc for her for her birthday, and it is AWESOME...listening to it gives me goosebumps.
My only negative comment is that the disc does not include all the songs from the show. In particular, the fiddle duet "Strings of Fire" is not there, which is one of my favorite parts of the show.
Otherwise, I highly recommend it. I dare you to sit still while listening!

The moment I watched the Lord of the Dance video I knew I had to buy the CD. It's one of those rare albums where you want to replay every track over and over again. Ronan Hardiman's music is simply exhilerating, and it is difficult for one not to tap their feet to the beats of the music. It would have been good for 'Strings of Fire' to have been included on this album, but I know now it is included on the new Feet of Flames album which is just as good. I saw Lord of the Dance live in Bournemouth in August and that was amazing as well.Free Music Review: Tingles and Chills!!

When I try to think of simply ONE word to describe this work of art, I fail miserably. This is, without a doubt, THE most amazing, wonderful, and unforgettable CD I have ever listened to. I myself am fascinated and enthralled with celtic and Irish everything...so when my Irish dance teacher told me about Lord of the Dance and how amazing the music is, I knew I just had to get the CD for myself. I give this CD two thumbs way way up!!! Don't miss out on this incredible journey through celtic music!!Free Music Review: Celtic Crazy!

I have just about worn out this cd listening to it. When I got to see Lord of the Dance in person, I really had not had any sort of appreciation for celtic music. That performance and this cd changed all of that for me. The music is majestic and stirs emotion that spans all feelings. The music tells the story and each time I listen to it I can actually see the performers dancing that piece. Having a bad day? Just listen to this cd. The world will suddenly be a better place!
