Free Music Review: Bad is Good!

You've just made the most successful album the world has ever seen. How exactly do you top that? Well, there really is no way to top "Thriller" but that doesn't make "Bad" a bad album at all. It's very entertaining and while Thriller sold more I believe this to be a far more superior album. What makes "Bad" stand above "Thriller" is more replay of the tracks. Thriller merely had four songs that I listened to everyday, this album has so many more addicting songs and I'm not just talking about the ones made into music videos (though they do stand out.)
Thriller was grand enough, but this album goes even deeper than Thriller does. The beats aren't as nifty or as creative but the lyrics are memorable and it's clear that MJ put a lot of emotion into this album.
There are some tracks that are actually quite scary at times. "Dirty Diana" is a dark track about a woman who sleeps around with many different celebreties. To follow that is "Smooth Criminal". While "Smooth Criminal" has a grand beat you can dance to it talks about a woman named Annie who was apparently murdered. Nonetheless they're great songs. It just brings out a more ruthless side of Jackson.
To follow "Smooth Criminal" is what I consider to be the best track on this album, "Leave Me Alone." This song shows how MJ wants his privacy and how the media should let him be (imagine that). The beat of the song is fantastic and the lyrics are strong!
In short, "Bad" is a great album to behold. Some of the best of Jackson.

This album was in, singles wise more sucessful than "Thriller" Spawning 5 #1 Singles all of them released in a row! and got 8 top 10 singles. But, in sales wise, it didnt sell half of what "Thriller" sold. This album is a great album. In the Late '80's I think people were way into POP and not the "Thriller" type of music. So he made a good move, But hard-out fans of "Off The Wall" and "Thriller" abandoned his music because of this album. This brang him alot of success though just one, 1 in 12 people in the U.K own "Bad"!. The songs released were by far the best of the album. these are the singles that went to #1:I Just Can Stop Loving You- #1!

So this was a push up for success, though it rarely happens his next album sone something that most artists cant do these days.....

I am a huge mj fan and I love all his albums to an equal degree, but Bad is just special on it's own. He wrote almost all the songs on here all by himself, his best and edgiest music videos came from this album and he had lots of #1 hits from the album. In fact, I think it's far better than Thriller. The melodies, the harmonies and the hooks are just incredible, this is an album all ages will enjoy. And not to mention how incredibly sexy he looked in the videos, especially Dirty Diana. Michael Jackson; The glove, the socks, the hat, the moves, the glitter, the lights, the euphoria... and the base of this; the music...Michael Jackson is not just a singer hes an entertainer, if god found a way of bringing music into human form he did with this man, perhaps Mr jacksons changing face reflects the changes in music over the 40 years hes been an entertainer, perhaps the vitaligo is gods way of saying it dosnt matter if your black or white, you can still be talented and achieve anything.
Let me take you back, back past Invincible, back past HIStory's lyrical genius, back past Dangerous's dancefloor anthems, but youve gone to far... Come back with me through the Jacksons 5s motown classics, back through Off The Wall's rnb trend setting hits, back through the biggest selling album of all time, Thriller's awsomness and stop, now your at Bad, 5 number ones off a 11 track CD? 8 top 10 hits, oh yes! he didnt release three! that was it!
But to me music is not how much it sells, music is much more that, music is that disc you play, it isnt the videos on MTV it isnt the top 10, it certainly isnt the billboards, its what comes though your speakers souly, forget the hype and listen to the music...
Bad is my personal favorite album of all time from the unforgettable bad, which personally is my least favorite track on the album to the hard hitting classic Smooth Criminal. Personally i love it when Mikey uses his high pitched rhythm on tracks like Another Part of Me, Just Good Friends and Leave Me Alone, it sends shivers through your spine. The Way You Make Me Feel is one of the great tracks of all time its Bad's Billie Jean and Michael steps up to the next level in his vocal abilitys his range is much bigger his voice is at its best. Liberian Girl is smooth and sexy and is one I could listen too today and think it was recorded last week, these sorts of tracks will stay modern forever. Dont forget Man In The Mirror which brings tears to a grown mans eyes! And just to round it off he add his 'Bad' touch that is Speed Demon & Dirty Diana.
This album is music in its self, wether you like rap, rnb, rock, dance, you will love this, that is whats so great about Michael he is universal.

Thriller was a mega success that no one could defeat, neither Elvis or the Beatles. It was an album that sold over 60 million records and released 7 top ten hits. It was the biggest selling album of all time and released classics that would launch jackson as the king of pop.When 1987 came, he release BAD. It sold many copies but many critics slammed it saying that it could not follow Thriller. Bad has sold 34 million copies worldwide today.
I feel that this cd is much more worth buying than thriller for many reasons. This cd has more rock, pop and soul combined than thriller did. of course thriller is one of my favorites, but some ballads were rather corny like PYT.
This album is probably my favorite album from jackson, and probably many other people's too. It released 5 # 1 hits(a record) and 8 top ten hits.

BAD- a wonderful classic song that never gets annoying
The Way you Make me Feel- this is the second best song on the album. it is very catchy and a great dance song.
Speed Demon- this song is full of soul! i love his voice
Liberian Girl- this is a romantic ballad though it is my least favorite on the album
Just Good Friends- This is a wonderful duet with Stevie wonder! I love it
Another Part of me- one of the best songs to be performed on stage!
man in the mirror- absolutely the best song! a wonderful song full of emotion. makes me cry!
i just can't stop loving you- great song! my wifes favorite!
dirty diana- the best rock song in history!
Smooth criminal- i love this song! the video is great also(what a genius mj is)
Leave me alone- this is one of his best and i'm dissapointed it's not one of his greatest hits!

i want to make this clear- michael jackson is innocent of all charges brought against him. he was a friend of the boy who accused him who was a cancer survivor. michael payed the boy's debts and bought the family a house. he decided not to pay anymore! this was a setup and i love you michael! the biggest selling artist in the history of music.!
