Michael Jackson-Thriller 25th Anniversary *****
You have to admit that after all these years the music on Thriller still holds up well and maybe that is because of the great production on the original (now remastered to sound even better) or maybe it has something to do with the fact that every hip-hop, R&B act today is trying to do what MJ did years ago so his music just flows still.
The rehashing of one of the greatest/biggest selling albums of all time is perfect. The original tracks (Beat It, Billie Jean, Thriller, PYT, Starting Something, ect...) are all here and sound just as revolutionary as they did when first released. But what is cool about this is the dvd with the Thriller video and other bonus stuff, it makes a great addition. I am indifferent to the new tracks with modern artists but they still make a cool addition for die-hards and collectors.
The 25th anniversary of Thriller was treated just they way it should have been. This reissue of an already classic album is fantastic and one that true fans of MJ will love, and that is saying something because this style of music is really one that am not usually a fan of. A real pop classic.
Free Music Review: The King is dead. Long live The King! Hit: 5 Stars
I heard the devastating news of Michael's passing on the radio as I drove from work. At the age of 50 he died very prematurely. As I digested this devastating news I reflected on his influence in my own life. I owned Thriller when it first came out on vinyl. I had never heard anything that sounded like it before. As for the videos a whole new level of skill, talent and showmanship had just opened in front of our eyes.
Then my 26 Year old son gave me and his mother an anniversary present of this album a few months ago. We watched the video that comes with it and listened to all his songs. I have played those songs over and over again. They sound fresh each and every time. Thriller is an amazing album and goes into the annals of history forever. I recalled the Jackson 5 as a teenager. I grew up on their music and owned most works of MJ.
Michael was the king of Pop. He is dead but for most of us he lives on forever as the greatest gift to the world of music in modern times. The world is poorer for his loss but it's also enriched by the legacy of this talented genius of our time.
Michael rest in peace. Long Live The King!

I was thoroughly pleased with the Thriller Deluxe edition. I never bought any 2001 Special Edition, so I am glad this is the only one I am listening to. The album itself was excellent, lots of work with into it. Will.i.am did great with the first two songs, "The girl is mine" I loved it. The remix was more upbeat than the original with today's flavor added to give it zing. Even P.Y.T. has an awesome beat to it. The remixes were all good, but I was a bit disappointed with "Billy Jean". Although good, you didn't hear much of Kayne West doing what he does best. Akon, on the other hand, brought a different flava to "Wanna be startin something," that makes the track sound even better.
You can tell the artists put their heart and soul into making this project with Michael Jackson, one of the best productions ever.
The deluxe edition, although expensive, gives you your money's worth. It is a piece of artwork put together. Photos, lyrics, credits, even some history and even more special it has a golden signature of Michael. It definitely is a great collector's piece of art. I certainly recommend it. It's well worth the money.
Free Music Review: Simply put: The Best Hit: 5 Stars
Thriller is undoubtedly the best album of all time. Michael Jackson proved himself as the best individual performer to ever grace pop culture and his title of "King of Pop" was well deserved. If you have never heard this album or you don't even own it, what are you waiting for? If there is one album you must own from ANY artist it is Michael Jackson's Thriller!
From the haunting Vincent Price narration of Thriller, the Van Halen guitar riff of Beat It, and the smooth, rhythmic beat of Billie Jean, Thriller is an album that can appeal to all music lovers! the entire album has aged like fine wine, only getting better over the years and is a true gift to the world.
I highly recommend the 25th anniversary edition for the remastered versions of the original songs. I ignore the new versions where Michael is with some of today's artists, but some young folk may find that interesting, but as far as I'm concerned if you don't instantly fall in love with those original, classic songs from the King of Pop than there is something seriously wrong with you!
Free Music Review: EXCELLENT CD HANDS DOWN Hit: 5 Stars
Before I go into the review of this wonderful masterpiece of a album,I would like to ask a question: How long do you think it will take for people to get over MJ?...1 year,2 years,5 YEARS,for me it would take a lifetime. Its only been over 2 months, but everyday that goes by seems like yesterday(meaning fresh)like it just happened. This album will make people remember(the ones who are big fans of Micheal Jackson)the day we all sat around the tv watching MTV seeing the first MJ video on a world premier and the day MJ broke the MTV race barrier.MJ worked too hard for the world and people should always remember the endless contributions and services he did while he was here and not all the negative things the media said.
On to the review,I loved this album and many will too. Will i am,Fergie and Kayne West paying their tributes which puts the cherry on top makes this album a solid gold masterpiece.I give it 10 stars and I hope his movie make its mark too - R.I.P. "King of Pop" MJ!!!!!
