Free Music Notes for Michael Jackson 25th Anniversary of Thriller (CD+DVD)Free Music Review: "He made Thriller, man.." - Dave Chappelle Hit: 5 Stars
I was watching an episode of the Chappelle Show once and in it there was a hilarious skit about him being a juror in an MJ trial and he defends MJ's 'innocence' I think this line which he says pretty much sums up, the magnificence of Michael Jackson and why he will always be the King of pop.
I grew up in the time when this album was released, and some of the tunes on this record are still dance hall classics. No matter what genre you belong to, Death Metal, Classical, Jazz, Indie poop, or whatever. Thriller would have touched your musical element at some point in your existence.
This album is a classic record, right from Beat it to Billie Jean, Ballads - Human Nature and Lady in my life (MJ goes supernova on this track, whatta love song).. every track on this album is pure gold and am glad to see they are celebrating 25 years in a befitting tribute to this record.
This album is a benchmark and i do recommend for you to get this CD.
Great Times!
Free Music Review: For Gods Sake Hit: 5 Stars
Michael Jackson was a genius and much more talented than the boobs running around today that cannot even write thier own music so they have to steal his songs and remake them into thier own, ruining them in the process. MJ was not just a singer he was an entertainer and a showman the like of which has not been seen since Elvis or Al Jolson. He did not just get up on stage with a guitar and strum music and sing. You got every penny's worth when you went to one of his concerts. I was lucky enough to see him and his brothers in 1981 at the Hartford Civic Center in CT. As far as I am concerned, you have in order for the past 40 years, The Beatles, Elvis, Michael Jackson, Elton John, and thats about it as far as I am concerned for the true entertainers of the 20th century, as far back as I can remember. They dont make them like MJ anymore and now we have teens flipping out over The Jones brothers and Hannah Montana, lord give me strength.
Free Music Review: Michael Jackson 25th Anniversary of Thriller (CD+DVD) Hit: 5 Stars
The review is for both products. The product is very entertaining now as it was when it was first done. I had the CD once it released, but I never had the DVD. Jackson really did some excellant work. As a entertainer he has to be rated among the greatest ever. I guess you can say that some people are just born to do certain things as Einstein was as a scientist. Names of certain people will always be at the forefront when certain categories are mentioned. For instance, baseball. You think of Babe Ruth, Jackie Robinson, Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, Hank Aaron, or basketball Michael Jordan. You get the drift. Well in the entertainment field Michael Jackson's name will always be there along with Elvis Presley. No doubt two of the best entertainers there have ever been. There are others also that come to mind James Brown, Jackie Wilson, but Michael and Elvis will be standouts for many generations.
Free Music Review: Great new album! Bonus songs Recorded 2008 with current artists and Bonus DVD Hit: 5 Stars
I didn't even realize that when I ordered this there was a bonus DVD that came with it that has the music videos that made him all the more famous:
Billie Jean
Beat it
Thriller
Billie Jean: Motown 25
NEW songs, 6 of them recorded in 2008 (re-recordings of originals already on the album). These re-recorded songs include the following artists:
will.i.am
Akon
Fergie
Kanye West
There is also a track that was never on the first release that didn't make the first cut. It's the final track of this disk. In total there are 16 tracks.
For everything this album has on it and the fact that it's a piece of great history now it's more than worth the 8-9 bucks you'll spend on it.
Be smart and order a few things at once and get it shipped free from amazon as long as the still offer it.
Free Music Review: Nobody Can Mess with "Thriller" Hit: 5 Stars
Thriller 25 is still Thriller not Thriller remix so it will always get my five stars and for the 7 bonus tracks I won't rate them, but what makes you wanna buy this album again?! Well if you want special remixes you will find plenty since the past 25 years but Thriller 25 comes with 7 bonus tracks not remixes, they are reworked singles from the originals DEFIANTLY they don't compare to the originals, what do you expect! Nobody Can Mess with "Thriller"! In 2001 Thriller was released in a special edition of four mega albums on Epic and each disc included demos, outtakes, and insightful interviews with key collaborators. It was an ideal release for the 19th anniversary, and in 2008 I am glad that Thriller 25 went the other way and included bonus tracks. It is great to listen to the new generation signing Michael's songs and that's why Thriller 25 is worth your money.
