Free Music Notes for Michael Jackson 25th Anniversary of Thriller(Deluxe Casebook Edition)Free Music Review: Simply The Best! Hit: 5 Stars
I can't imagine someone not having Thriller in some form or another. I've had it in record, tape and cd (and multiple versions of the tape and cd). I have the remastered version but this 25th Anniversary Casebook version is the best. Specifically, the new versions of Wanna Be Startin Somethin (With Akon was really good), Billie Jean (Kayne West with a nice remix), Beat It (With Fergie which was a nice twist), P.Y.T (with Will.I.Am which is better than the original IMO) & even The Girl Is Mine (which was my least favorite on the original album but made better this time around). My favorite is a song that was excluded from the original album (& I don't see why it was they should have went for 10 tracks) For All Time.
You get the original nine songs, the little Vincent Price rap and the 6 new versions PLUS a DVD of the Thriller videos (Billie Jean, Beat It, Thriller and the Motown 25th Billie Jean performance). I've had these videos in many different forms (DVDs, on my pc etc) and this is the best those 4 videos ever looked. I was really impressed by how cleaned up and "new" looking these videos were in quality. For the lower price of $20.88 this was really a good deal. I've been wanting this cd for awhile anyway.
The casebook itself is nice. The inside is pretty much Thriller pictures plus some other pics of MJ for his different songs. With the exception of the original "The Girl Is Mine" (which I never really liked) this is the perfect version of Thriller released to date. Buy it! NOW!
P.S. - R.I.P MJ!
Free Music Review: 25 Years and 104 Million Copies Later...And It's Still The Best! Hit: 5 Stars
Michael Jackson does it again! He has released another masterpiece. This is the biggest selling album of all time and is also one of the best albums. I remembered when my mother purchased this for me as a child, I wore my vinyl album out and eventually got another copy and the cassette as well. I have also purchased it on CD and then in 2001 purchased the Special Edition. Now I have purchased the 25th Anniversary Edition and it was well worth my purchase. The unreleased track "For All Time" is timeless. An of course, you cannot leave out the Michael classics, Billie Jean,Beat It,Wanna Be Startin Somethin,The Girl Is Mine,P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing),Thriller, and my personal favorite "Human Nature". Baby Be Mine and The Lady In My Life were two other non-single songs on the album but were also very good. This is also the first album to have 7 Top 10 hits from one album and this album spent 37 weeks at #1. 25 Years Later and Thriller is still the best. The new tracks with Akon, william,Fergie, and Kanye West are very good. My person favorite is "Wanna Be Startin Somethin 2008". Make sure you pick up a copy of this amazing album! This is the reason why Michael Jackson will always be named the King of Pop!
Free Music Review: Thriller Is Still A Thriller!!!! Hit: 5 Stars
As a Michael Jackson fan since the age of two I was so thrilled to learn that Thriller was going to be re-released in a special 25th anniversary edition!!
What I love about the special edition is that the original album is included on this disc. I never get tired of listening to Thriller!!
These remixes are awesome!! My two favorite remixes are Wanna Be Startin Somethin featuring Will.I.Am & Akon this remix is new and fresh and up beat and I just love it!! My other favorite remix is the Billie Jean remix featuring Kanye West!! I love this remix because it is slow and sultry and I could just listen to to that remix all day!!
I also love the Previously Unreleased song called For All Time. This is such a beautiful ballad that Michael sounds so beautiful singing I love beautiful ballads and I think the ladies will love this ballad as well!!
Now I have to be honest here. The only thing I was disappointed with, with this special 25th anniversary edition is that I wish the whole album had been remixed to go along with the original album instead of a select few songs but, other than that I'm satisfied with this album and I think you will be to!!

"Thriller 25" is a commercial success selling almost 1,400,000 copies worldwide in six weeks and spending two weeks at number one on the United World Chart. Thriller 25 entered the Pop Catalog Charts (where it has spent six weeks at #1), with the best sales week since December 1996 and #2 on the Comprehensive Chart (where it peaked for two weeks). This was Jacksons best launch since Invincible in 2001, significantly outselling The Essential Michael Jackson which sold 8,000 copies in 2005 and sales of "Thriller 25" in the U.S. are more than 350,000 copies. Elsewhere the album peaked at number one in India, Korea, Thailand, Argentina (for two weeks, Belgium) (for two weeks, Colombia, Europe, France (for three weeks and Norway) (highest peak their of his career. It peaked at number two in Australia (for four weeks), Canada, Denmark (for two weeks), Germany, Mexico, Brazil and the Netherlands (for two weeks.) It peaked at number three in the UK and peaked at number eight in Japan. In total it reached the top 10 in thirty national charts. What other artists can claim this type of exposure. He is back.
Free Music Review: Original thriller= a 10 the new mixes= negative 5 Hit: 5 Stars
Michael Jackson is the main reason why i even care about Music. He is a Musical Genius. He changed the whole course of American Music forever. this Album to Me is Probably the Greatest Album ever made. Quincy Jones, Rod Temperton and others had a hand in the material, but the center and most important Creative force of this Project is Michael Jackson. He wrote Billie Jean which is timeless as is Beat it and wanna be startin somethin. other classic cuts on here are Human Nature, Baby Be Mine.
the new mixes stank and nothing is close to capturing the Magic of the Original Thriller. this is a good thing in that it shows how weak alot of these acts of today truly are and they don't stand a chance up against a classic.
Thriller was a Album that changed the whole culture worldwide and is still felt after all of this time and will always be.
I got more out of the 2001 version which had audio commentary which would have been nice on this one. I suggest get the Original and play fresbie with the re-mixes.
