This is a dazzling collection of Michael's work from the early years to recent times. It has many famous songs as well as a few songs less widely known but nevertheless wonderful. The variety of the songs keeps you wanting to hear each track after the other. These songs are definitely catchy and usually have a tendency to get stuck in your head. There are songs of all types from the sweet "Rock With You" to the ever classic "Thriller".
Each song seems to have it's own special quality and rhythm and uniquness and rarity. How can you compare "Bad" to "Man in the Mirror"? It's like apples and oranges. This collection is a 5 disc set. It includes some songs from "The Wiz" along with all the other songs on the various cd's. Disc 5 is a DVD of a "Dangerous" tour with the following songs: "Jam," "Billie Jean," "Man in the Mirror," "Thriler," '"Wanna be Starting Something," "Just Can't Stop Loving You," "She's Outta my Life," "Human Nature," "Smooth Criminal" and probably a couple I've forgotten.

Michael is such an unbelievable star, whose growing fans will never give up showing one hundred support to every aspect of him, his music as well as himself as a person. but whose opponents will never be moved by enen the greatest song made from his talent, and his dream!
one guy above gave the two-star evaluation about this album as well as some criticising words. Please don't cheat yourself and others. Actually it's totally unnecessary for you to give even a single star or say one positive word. his music is not for you!
I haven't yet received this box set ordered from Amazon. But I just listened to all the new materials over the past week. Those songs, especially "Cheater", "We Are Here To Change The World" and "We Are The World Demo" make this box set worth a lot more than 49.99 dollars. What makes me even more excited is of couse, The Dangerous Tour Performance DVD. Having michael's officially released live performance is my over ten years dream, and it will become reality in a few days. Even though I haven't got this cool stuff yet, I have to say, waiting for it is also something enjoyable for me!

First, yet me said that when I bought this collection it was for the sole intention of paying tribute to Michael Jackson; although now I recieve a greater reward then I could ever imagine or even know of. Buying this case was important to me towards finding out all, or at least most of his greatest hits; instead of buying each individual case buy it self. The ultimate collection is five CD's with a small book chrologically Michael Jackson career. When you open up the case, from the first CD on the left hand side to the fourth on the right hand side, give off some of Michael's best works and collaborations, including the Jackson's 5 "ABC", "Thriller", and "You are not Alone". The last CD came as a unexpected surprise as it was an actually dvd of Michael Jackson Bad tour.
What I would have like to known of before purchasing this collection, is how long the fifth cd/dvd would be;instead of finding out through watching it for two and a half hours. Overall, I enjoy the music, and dvd with a greater appreciaton for Michael Jackson work than from one, or two Michael Jackson videos seen on televison.

If you're looking at this product, The Michael Jackson Collection (released in 2004), then you are either a fan of MJ or know someone who is and are looking for a gift. In either cases this is a great collection which covers his whole career, and best of all the songs are all in order of release. You get songs, hits, unreleased tracks, demos and rarities(you can check the top reviews which describes the content and judge by yourself if this is worth it).If you're considering buying a compilation but would like to go one step further this might be what you're looking for. It doesn't cost a whole lot, is affordable and offers a lot for the price trust me; I've paid much more for less. The fact that you also get the excellent Live In Bucharest DVD with the set is another great reason to buy it. Do the math, buy the Bucharest DVD and a greatest hits compilation and there isn't a huge difference with the price of this set and you get much more with The Ultimate Collection. If you already have the DVD and own the original songs it is still worth buying for the unreleased content.A great way to honor the work of a great man.Free Music Review: The True Collection!

This collection spans from 69' to 2004. It includes the new anti-war song "We've Had Enough". The song sings off of its haunting lyrics. Other new songs include "The Way You Love Me". There is much in this great collection. Demos and never before released songs. Fall Again is a ballad promoted by Vh1 last week. On The Line was on the soundtrack for "Get On The Bus". Other favorites include In The Back, a demo for in Invincible album as well as Monkey Business, which may be one of the greatest rock songs with a great guitar rift. Notice how I talk about the new offers on this great box set.
To a response to one reviewer below, he says that Mr. JAckson's fan base is dwindling?! How would he know if he therefore hadn't been part of that fan base currently. Actually, this album is a treat to any MJ fan, no matter the size (those the size is growing).
Michael Jackson is known as the legend, and biggest selling artist of all time. The last thing he needs is "haters" bashing his treat to his true fans that stick by him through thick and thin. 100% innocent!
