Free Music Review: Better to LOSE American Idol than to win.

This is what happens when you lose American Idol...you get to take your time and create an INCREDIBLE album like this that truly reflects what kind of artist you are and not the pop hits that the AI machine likes to pump out. With the exception of Carrie Underwood every freshman album from AI winners has been less than great. From Kelly to Taylor Hicks everyone has not shown what kind of recording artist the person can be. Even when you don't win if you get involved with them your album is not going to be you..i.e. Bo Bice. Bo's first with the AI team was not him...when he left them and made his own (2nd album) it was GREAT (I highly recommend his 2nd if you like Southern Rock). And Taylor Hicks...let's just say that 1st one left something to be desired...it was not the Taylor we loved on AI. But when he broke free and severed the ties...awesome, the real Soul Patrol. I know what they would have made Michael sing if he had won...pop power ballads that would have been BORING! This on the other hand has real soul and heart and allows him to use that fantastic voice to the fullest. This guy is going to be a STAR! Talented, good looking...I would certainly pay to go see him. GREAT JOB Michael!
