Free Music Notes for The Iron Giant: Original Motion Picture SoundtrackFree Music Review: In the tradition of Pulp Fiction and Crybaby... Hit: 5 Stars
Another stellar collection of period songs used well in a film, and used even better on a soundtrack. These are songs you wouldn't ordinarily go out and buy on their own, but in this collection, and now connected to such a MAG-DAMN-NIFICENT film, you wonder why you didn't want them before. I had no idea Kookie HAD a second song-I guess every hit has a b-side. Kudos for going the extra mile and finding real obscure songs to fill this out. Brad, you're the ginchiest... 'bot (And you'll notice "Rock you like a Hurricane" AIN'T on here...)
Free Music Review: Love the Giant Hit: 5 Stars
I purchased the Iron Giant when my granddaughter was young and we both loved the movie. I don't know what happened to my original copy of the movie but I wanted my grandson to see it too so I purchased it on dvd. We both love the Iron Giant. The story line is good and some parts are so funny....we like the part where Hogarth wants to go swimming and the Iron Giant jumps into the lake. The Iron Giant is a good movie for the entire family.

Free Music Review: great movie, fun soundtrack Hit: 5 Stars
I am a huge fan of this film already, nice to see some new flavor in animated film. The music is great and the robot in the film is wonderful. Bravo!
Free Music Review: 'Fifties pop hits provide space-age setting for Iron Giant Hit: 4 Stars
Producer Brad Bird's vision for The Iron Giant is as far away from traditional Disney animation as possible, even to the musical rendering of the sountrack. There are no number one hits here; the only addition to Michael Kamen's few original symphonic pieces are pop singles from 1958-1962, some with space-age themes, which in the film provide the Sputnik-era setting for the Iron Giant. In this sense this Rhino CD is a true soundtrack, capturing both the essence of the film and the feel of the era when it takes place.
