Free Music Notes for FreedomFree Music Review: The Best Combination of Sounds Ever Heard Hit: 5 StarsI find it extremely difficult to write a review for this particular CD, because it, because it is so much farther beyond words than any music known to me. Michael W. Smith snags you into a little bit of his imagination with each song, as he sends your soul soaring with each rising note of every instrument. A normal stero system doesn't even do this music justice, because of the many sounds buried deep into the heart of the music. Indescribably beautiful, magnificant, touching, inspiring and thought-provoking are a few words that might help to grasp the unbelievable joy I achieve from listening to this music. If you are thinking about weather to buy this CD, think no longer. It is invaluable--beyond the material things of this world.
Free Music Review: Beautiful! Hit: 5 StarsI was hesitant to buy this cd because I usually need words with my music, but I'm a long time MWS fan, so I decided to give it a try. And I'm so glad I did. His music is absolutely enchanting. The first time I listened to it, I was lying in bed, listening to it on my diskman. When "Freedom Battle" came on, I was so overwhelmed by it that I sat straight up. I've purchased this cd as gifts for friends and I highly suggest it to anyone of any musical taste.
Free Music Review: lovely compositions, superb musicianship Hit: 5 StarsFilled with power and beauty, this instrumental recording has a Celtic feeling to most of its melodies, some of which is recorded in Dublin; it's music that can't be put in a single classification, and goes beyond the Christian genre. It's become a constant companion of mine while I work, as I find it both peaceful and energizing. There is a visual quality to many of the compositions, and they would be great expanded for dance or film. There are some lovely lyrical pieces, like "Carol Ann" (in whose memory this CD is dedicated), "The Giving", and "Prayer for Taylor", but perhaps my favorite is "Freedom Battle", which has a magnificent orchestral arrangement, with distant horns and terrific rhythmic contrasts. "The Call" is the most up-tempo "pop" sounding track, with more of a electronic sound to it than the other compositions, and the only one with background vocals. Born in 1957, Michael has had a long, award-winning career since his first recording in 1983; an excellent pianist as well as inspired songwriter, he plays piano, keyboard and Hammond organ on this CD. The booklet insert has wonderful photography and recording info, and the total playing time is 40'57.

I have a small collection of instrumental music, this one is not that thrilling but it is very good.I like it and listen from time to time, if you like instrumental, buy it. Michael did a good job with this CD.
