ok, no im not a 12 year old girl, though i was a very short time ago(im a 13 year old girl). this cd is incredibly good. Hanson does have talent, unlike boy bands who do not write anything of their own. The backstreet boys and n sync and britney spears were all put up for the soul purpose of making money, hanson was not. hanson's love is in music, and not fame and not fortune. they are three incredibly talented young men. the cd middle of nowhere has been a part of my life and a lot of other people's too(not just 12 year old girls either). one by one each song on this album has stood for a situation in my life and i personally cannot wait for their next album which im sure will be if not greater than mon. just because someone has 6000 albums does not mean he's an all-mighty music judging god or something. and just because you play guitar, piano, and drums does not mean you're a great talented person who can tell other's they have no talent...hanson, is talent.Free Music Review: Taking My Music Loving Soul To The Middle Of Nowhere

Out of all the bubblegum music out there, Hanson is by the far the greatest of them all. Before them I thought bubblegum like New Kids was silly. When Hanson came out, my favorite bands were BUSH, Nirvana, and No Doubt. I still love all those groups, but Hanson has risen to the top as my favorite (at least in the Pop world). They play instruments, write or co-write all of their songs, and are co-producing their new album coming out sometime late 99/early 00. Middle Of Nowhere is an album that makes you want to forget everything in your life for a few minutes and just have fun. The songs have a lot of meaning. For example, Weird is about the feeling we all experience every once in a while. It's hard not to fit into something, to feel like you're all alone, and that no one cares about you. Middle of Nowhere was what made me a Hanson fan. Amazing songs like A Minute Without You, Where's The Love, I Will Come To You and Thinking of You are gems, especially considering the ages of Hanson when they wrote and recorded these songs back in the summer/fall of 1996 (they were 15, 13 and 10 at that time). Incredible, isn't it?Hanson have always shown incredible talent when it comes to writing and performing their own music, and Middle of Nowhere is no exception. With Isaac on the guitar, Taylor on the keyboards, and Zac banging away at those drums, you can't help but smile and jam along with these 13 tracks.
The "MMMBop" backlash is unfortunate, because the song has amazing harmonies and is lyrically deep -- if you look past the chorus, which, sadly, many people do not.
20 years from now, when Middle of Nowhere is dubbed a classic, all I will do is nod in agreement, for that is what it is and what it always will be.

There is only one cd that's better than this one, and that's Hanson's latest "This Time Around". When I first started listening to "Middle of Nowhere", I wasn't that much into pop music--yet! I had seen Hanson's picture in a magazine next to my teen idol of the time, and I just caught myself staring at their picture instead. When I heard "Mmmbop" on the radio for the first time, I recorded it onto a tape which I later took with me to a camping trip out by a lake in the middle of nowhere (Ironic huh?). I played it non-stop and bought the cd the first chance I got and I haven't regretted it since. I have become the world's largest Hanson fan. I'd recommend this cd for anyone. It has a bit of a bubblegum pop flavor mixed in with some rock. Every song is different, and the really deep lyrics make you want to hear each song over and over. THE SONG INSPIRES ONES HEART TO FEEL AND ONES MEMORY TO LIVE AGAIN. IT IS SO REFRESHING AND INSPIRING TO SEE YOUNG GROWING MEN SHARING THEIR GIFT IN HELPING OTHERS TO REMEMBER THE TRUE HEART AND SOUL WITHIN ALL OF US.
