Free Music Notes for Life in Cartoon MotionFree Music Review: Great Pop Album Hit: 5 Stars
This album was recommended by a friend of mine, and it does not dissapoint. If you like the Beatles, Queen and the Scissors Sisters, you will love this album. I dont get tired of it and I really like playing it in my car for my friends who say "Who is this?" The tunes are really catchy. My favorites are "Big Girls", "Grace Kelly", "Billy Brown" and "Love Today" but really they are all good.
Free Music Review: Brilliant Hit: 5 Stars
Mika is, perhaps, the most original and dynamic musician in the pop industry today. His work sounds for all the world as though Elton John and George Michael collaborated and wrote a musical together, but his voice is purely his own - it is reminiscent of Freddie Mercury, reminiscent of George Michael, but definitely his own. I am looking forward to seeing what he does on his next album!
Free Music Review: Groove on Down The Road Hit: 5 Stars
OK, so the comparisons to Queen are obvious, but Mika is so much more than some glam rocker wannabe. His songs definetly have that glam rock vibe, but they have a unique transcendent, tongue in cheekiness all their own. Listen to Mika when you need a quick pick me up, when you are driving down a sunny road with the windows down, his music is just perfect for a light, groovey afternoon.
Free Music Review: Mika rocks! Hit: 5 Stars
My favorite song on this CD is Relax (Take It Easy), I first heard this when I was living in Russia in 2006-2007. Not sure why in Europe it comes out faster, but i felt the moment I heard the song. Every song on his disk is different, so you can definetly find the song you like for your mood. I also found it dissapointing that so far he has only 1 disc. I really hope more are coming!
Free Music Review: Instant Sunshine Hit: 5 Stars
How do I count the ways I love this cd? It's pure bubblegum at it's finest. It's just so much fun! I can't help feeling good as I listen to it. There are so many good tracks I just can't pick a favorite (although "Love Today" and "Any Other World" are high up there). To me it's a very joyful cd that is an instant pick-me-up for those ho-hum days. In other words, pure bliss!
