Free Music Review: Mandolin Virtuousity

What can be said about two of the world's finest mandolin players that hasn't already been said? Technically mindblowing, and a wonderfully diverse song selection of mostly original compositions. But its so much more than that. This CD is an excellent example of a "mutual admiration society" taken to its highest and best. The playing is, of course, superb, and yet without a hint of competition or ego. In fact, their sparkling personalities shine out on this recording. Its like they're each trying their best to make the other sound better. All I can say is, I love this CD. I've listened to it about 5 times already, and not only do I continue to hear new things, but it also keeps getting better with each listen. If you're a fan of instrumental music, there's not a possibility you will be disappointed.
