Free Music Review: Mike's Best Effort

This is easily Mike's best work. Not easy to listen to the first time, but it quickly grabbed me, and I would have listened to this more times than any other CD.Unfortunately, it was never a hit, so it's not likely that we'll ever hear anything like this from Mike again.
If you've never listened to this, you really should, but give yourself an hour with no distractions to let it wash over you. "boring 'mood music'"? I think not.

I don't care what *anyone* says, this CD is astounding. The Aborigine-esque opening was cool, the stomping and teethbrushing fitted amazingly in with everything, the drum solo/Zulu chant 45 minutes in was really catchy, and the Margaret Thatcher impression at the end (or was it the beginning?) was a great way to finish (or was it to start?). Also, the "Health Warning" on the back of the case is hilarious but true.Free Music Review: One of my favorites

I listen to everything: pop, metal, jazz, classical -- you name it. Amarok is one of my all-time favorites. It never fails to send me off feeling happy as could be. This is far from "boring mood music" -- but it might not work for those with short attention spans. You really have to sit down and listen for the duration (60 minutes) to fully appreciate it. Don't buy this CD if you are searching for easy-to-listen music. Nothing you've heard before can be compared to this piece of music, be prepared. This is a true original masterpiece and needs attention and good ear to be enjoyed. I have to say I was disappointed at first, but it grow stronger as long as one listen and understand.
