Professional skateboarder Mike Vallely has been writing and recording music since 2001. He has written, recorded and performed with legendary Pittsburgh singer/songwriter Joe Grushecky as well as with his own band, Mike V And The Rats. From punk rock, to folk, spoken work to american; Vallely has shown diversity in how he expresses himself musically. His 2002 solo release A Weekend In Pittsburgh is an eclectic collection of autobiographical songs co-written by Joe Grushecky. His Rats release are hard driving, metal laced hardcore punk screamers and now Mike Vallely has simultaneously released two new solo outings vastly different from yet as diverse as his previous outings.
