This CD is great! Miley Cyrus shows her amazing vocal range. The best song on this CD is "Goodbye". The emotion in Miley's voice shows how personal this song is, and it makes you want to listen. Free Music Review: More Musically Mature Miley

OK, I have to admit I bought this CD out of curiosity. I'm not one of Miley's core fan-base, far from it; I'm a music fan in my mid-30's whose tastes run the gamut of a vast musical spectrum. Not knowing a lot of about this teen phenom, I thought I'd take a chance and see what all the fuss is about! I admit I was expecting this album to be geared solely toward the teen and pre-teen age-group, but from the opening notes of the first song, I knew instantly this was something more substantial. Miley Cyrus is no longer just a kid, she's becoming a young woman whose voice has a maturity to it that belies her years. She carries a tune well, and has a good ear and musicianship that some singers twice her age are lacking. She shows promise in becoming a great power ballad vocalist in the future. I got the sense that this album is a stepping stone for Miley; that with each consecutive project, she will reach a new plateau as an entertainer and now songwriter. Yes songwriter! Breakout is indeed an apt title for this album, for Miley is without a doubt breaking out of the mold of being just a stereotypical kid singing cupie doll, sing-a-long material. True, the title song does sound like it might be an out-take from one of the High School Musicals, but it's kinda catchy just the same. My favorites include her current single "7 Things", "The Driveway", "Bottom of The Ocean" and "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun". Yes, I like Miley's take on Cyndi Lauper's signature tune. I'd even go so far as to say I like it better than the original....and I was about Miley's age when the original was topping the charts. She gives it a fresh new life, and the lyrics seem to fit her well. Bottom line is this...if you've only thought of Miley Cyrus as someone being in the same league as say Barney or Sponge Bob, think again. Give this album a listen...a real listen with an open mind. You just might be surprised at what you hear. I know I was, and will definitely be looking forward to her next studio album. Miley is so majorly talented and she never disappoints whether it be on screen or music-wise. Her album is amazing as to be expected. It's one of those albums that you'll want to listen to again and again and again. On this album Miley showcases both original songs and cover songs. With cover songs like "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" Miley shows us that she can nail covers, give them her own flavor, make them her own, and also have some fun. And yeah no matter the song she can rock. If you haven't gotten this album yet, do so now. It deserves to be blasting from your boombox.Free Music Review: Val's Review

My 10 year old son and I both loved this CD and really respect and admire Miley Cyrus.She is a very good role model for the girls.We are really Hannah Montanna/Miley Cyrus fans.The music is great to dance and excercise to and we love listening to it.Free Music Review: Breakout!

Our entire family loves this album! The kids (and maybe Mom!) have been making up dance routines to it. Our favorite is "Fly on the Wall"...
